But that was about as good as we could have hoped. Really solid. Organised. Decent intensity. No injuries. A win. (Unlike last year when we couldn't seem to score a single goal).

I'm still hopeful Kalimuendo could stay and come good for us. And wouldn't mind if we gave Bakwa more of a good too.

Yes he is and I can imagine annoying as hell to manage, so not suggesting he’s the answer. But you can imagine if you somehow managed to get his head right then he’s got bags to offer

I had actu,ally said I wasn't going to bother with these pre season games as for ages we just seemed to have treated them as just a bit of a nuisance to be got out of the way but I really enjoyed that for the first time in last few seasons we seemed to take the game relatively seriously instead of just strolling about.

Played with a decent tempo with enough intensity for pre season. Don't think anyone really let the side down, perhaps Bakwa got a bit casual after a decent start. Looked as if people really wanted to impress the new boss.

Do yourself a favour FF59 and pop the cretin on ignore. You will find visiting thr forum a much more enjoyable experience
 
Friendlies mean absolutely nothing, either good or bad

But there are definite positives

- players weren't alien to the new system it seems, and appear to have taken that first step to adapting well

- County are no mugs. League one teams can hurt PL teams easily if they aren't on it

- no crowing from our neighbours. We have lost this friendly a few times

- sounds like a couple of attacking players liked the new formation- at least against this competition
