V Brighton

Some of them like Anderson, Neco, MGW seem to be trying too hard & has as just been said trying to do too much to make up for the failings of some of the others who are just seem to be going through the motions. No doubt some of those just going through the motions will up their game tomorrow as they try to impress the great Pep

Sangare was left on his own in midfield a lot of the time against Brighton.. Anderson was on the left wing, right wing, central defence... all over the place trying to make something happen, which is great to see ...but that means we're a man down in the middle of the pitch when the ball gets turned over.

Anderson played the same as under Ange v Brighton

Trying to be Superman.

Doesnt work for him or Sangare.

Makes us very disjointed in the middle.

Dont think he liked his role under Dyche. He wants to do more going forward.

But quite simply him and Sangare together worked far better for the team. Dyche had it nailed.

Player power not working.

Surely this is stating the obvious though. Everybody knows we're missing the Chris Wood of last season. But even if he'd played every game this season there is no guarantee that he'd have performed to the same levels.
Indeed he wasn't in great form before he got injured. Maybe age is catching up with him ? Let's hope not , we could really do with him coming back and soon.

With hindsight, Brighton were always hustling us when we had the ball, and we didn't cope. Gave the ball away several times near our own box.

Forest seemed to get caught between two stools. Sort of partial press which Brighton just passed through. and which left more room for them in our half than if we'd played a boring low block.

I like Pereira's idea of the side having an identity, but we didn't have one on Sunday.

Some of their players are close to pension age , we were shit considering.

Pebble is right.
I've been particularly unimpressed with Pereira considering its only been a couple of games.
In Europe it was putting players in random weird positions.
Then against Brighton its as though he picked the team and formation and then just said 'go out there and have fun'. We had no tactics.

I'd wager Anderson and Williams were the worst culprits for giving the ball away. Haven't seen any stats.
Tbf, they might have won it a lot more than most too, but the areas they lost it in were bad.

I think that's just wishful thinking mate
