V Brighton

Be massive if we can hold out for a draw today. I'm expecting a real heavy defeat though because that's what this seasons done to my confidence and expectations.
I predict another frustrating and painful afternoon but, and I know this will be hard to believe, I have been wrong before.

we have a manager at last who knows what he’s doing and learns from mistakes

Cunha a much better player than Morato
Lucca crap and Awoniyi back
Netz in for an opportunity to see if he can allow our FBs to rotate within games

Wood back in April. Hope Ortega isn’t hurt long term as I thinks he’s our best keeper

WLL

Let's say that once we know the record doesn't read WLLL, or more likely WLLLL

Thursday was probably the worst performance I have ever personally witnessed since we were promoted

Huge respect for you pope, but that is the most disingenuous rubbish you’ve ever posted and you’d have never ever have said it if it was performed under Dyche.
That wasn’t in the top 20 worst performances since promotion…. It’s not even in the top 5 worst this season.

So we were worse in that game than we were against Villa? You thought the Braga performance was better? Or Midtylland? Sturm Gratz? Leeds away?

Come on man, bullshit to say it was the worst and you know it

We were poor first half on Thurs, but not the worst performance of the season by a long way. In a strange way I don't think it helped being 3-0 up. It looked to me as if the team didn't really know whether to stick or twist & before they had managed to sort that out in their heads we were 1 down & the doubts started to set in & things started to get worse.

Once again we have an opportunity to put some more distance between us and the drop. Lets not feck it up again.

Be great if we can show we can score, takes some of the in game pressure off.

Coyr
We rarely if ever do on these occasions though . Draw at best i reckon.

Lucca. More disastrous recruitment
Thank goodness it's only a loan with an option rather than an obligation or a straight purchase. It makes you wonder if anyone within the club actually watched him play before signing him, because they wouldn't have needed to watch him for long to realise

Lucca reminds me of Origi.

Much like big Div, his movement in the box is levels above the vision or ability of the players surrounding him.

NFFC's no.1 podcast - FFTV - wondered aloud whether the other players refuse to pass to LL.
Whilst the macro and micro would point towards this POV being correct, i feel its incorrect.

Rather, Lorenzo's elite movement is, as proved above, beyond the ability of MGW, Anderson or the wingers.

I reckon in a big boy side, he'd have bagged 5-10 goals already.

I think our definitions of "personally witnessed" are quite different

For me, "personally witnessed" means I was there, in the ground. That's what I was saying. Because in my view, that is the best view of the game for me personally.

So Villa, Brag, Graz are all irrelevant.

Were we worse than against Midtjylland? You fucking bet we were. They physically assaulted us and we had our worst ref in Europe so far, and as were shite on set pieces. But there wasn't fear, there wasn't cowardice in that game. So for me, yes, it was worse

And in terms of games I can actually remember seeing- in terms of utterly woeful, gutless performances, I am struggling to find comparison.

My thoughts actually go back to the Middlesbrough home game under Hughton for the last game that made me feel the same about the team and about our prospects for the future.

It really is that far ago that I can think of being at a game that completely wrecked my confidence in the team.

Personal opinion
