Using smiley face, poo and broken heart emoji at school may sound like a strange idea but it could improve children’s language skills, according to an expert.

Easier than teaching kids the nuances of language and the proper formulation of a sentence I guess. Why use metaphor and simile when you can draw a shit to make yourself understood.

Oh maybe they have a point?

I'd fire any of my teachers who let their students write using emojis.

Surely teaching kids other languages, particularly those with other alphabets and sentence structures would prove more useful?

Teaching some of them proper English would be a good start. I have no idea why Education persists with trying to be so complicated...teach the basics, give them a grounding and set them up for life then those more academic will follow that route, those less academic will follow other routes.

Everyone deserves the chance to be good at what they are good at, but this preconception everybody is the same is a mockery.

I think it's a fair point, this is me getting my views over in Las Vegas...!
