Think you'll find 31st august is when the transfer window SLAMS SHUT, as well you know.

Something tells me our business ins and outs will be messier than we think

And we wont have the best pre season prep again

We do get lots of things done. But not always in a timely manner

More important than anything is no late surprises for players leaving us. At least get that done early so we know who we are planning to be without and replacing

The World Cup always messes with both transfers and pre-season. We also have to accept that a lot of the time we have to wait for ‘big’ clubs to start the merry go round before we can start signing players.

If we can find players that nobody else has noticed or is interested in then we have a chance. Similarly if clubs need to sell by the end of June then we might pick up someone but I don’t expect to have everyone in by the end of pre-season.

He will be as the transfer window opens on the 14th, after the WC as started.
Semantics, I think. Man City won’t want to see his price inflated by the World Cup. We won't want to sell him on the cheap. Anderson will want to focus on the WC. Man City want to conclude a deal before the WC. Pre contract agreement at £120 million or southerbys auction here we come in July. Simples

If that happens then yes. Tuchel will not want players breaking off for talks, medicals and contract signings, so if they pony up to the max to get it done early, then yes. If not, EM waits it out till July

There is that, but EM will drive a hard bargain, and if City are desperate for him to sign before the WC kicks off, there will be a premium to pay.

I honestly do not think any of that will come into it.

This will be like when City signed Haarland; they were in talks for a good while before he signed, everything was agreed well in advance.

Yes agreed in general, but just to clarify I don’t think he’s the type of character to go on strike. He’s contracted to us until Summer 2029, so I think we can play hardball
