Whoever gets picked we need more from the 4 wide player's, the fullbacks and wingers have created very little lately. Lang would be more useful then Proctor at the moment, as he can create chances without service.

We could also switch to a three at the back using Robinson/Ojo and Darikwa as wing backs and dispense with the out and out wingers.

Yeah anything is possible, we've had injury problems all season. Which has forced different players to play, usually out of position.

We could even use the system we tried for a couple games earlier in the season with no wingers.

But we need to do better with the final ball, we had plenty of time in wide areas in the last two games to put solid deliveries into the box but instead the delivery was very poor.

Additionally, this lack of confidence leads to the players making safe passes (admittedly poor passing has been a problem all season and continues to be a problem)
Yesterday a number of times a good attacking pass was avoided in favour of a pass in field.



And give each player a banjo?

Ojo plays too safe for me and not physical enough to play that holding role. We’re at the stage where we need to be braver. Put Long in next to Tilt and get Johnston in next to Evans as at least young George is a presence and looks to play the ball forward

I wouldn't want to put such a millstone around his neck, but reminiscent, yes.

In the lead up to the loss at Utd, the kids beat (hammered) Birmingham at Leyland Motors, and he was excellent. About 8 stone wet through, but the ball stuck to his foot like glue.

I'm sure the management team know when he'll be ready, but it would be lovely to see him given a go.

Who, other than Joseph & Johnston would you offer a contract to even if we went down.

We dispensed with out and out wingers a long time ago. Yanic was the last real one. That is more the problem the fact that we dont play with a winger.
