Sorry, but if this lad couldn't even get into the Rangers side for some second division Scottish Football, then he's clearly anything but an "unfulfilled talent", especially as he's nearing his 2th birthday.

To blame City for not giving him game time is more than just a bit farcical!

His mistake wasn't signing for City, his mistake was not working hard enough to ensure his potential was fulfilled. It's obvious when you look at the club hopping he's done that there is something amiss with him in terms of attitude/work rate. To blame City is just the easy way out.

It's always the club's fault - they will never admit not having a good work ethic, failing to train properly or just plain not being good enough.

City's academy and youth system have extensive metrics on players (we've all seen the small devices fitted within the shirts between player shoulder blades) plus they also guage attitude and other less tangible factors. Implying that "all he needed was game time" is a weak argument, unmeasurable and impossible to contradict directly except to say that if he failed to cut it outside the first team just parachuting him in to 'give him a go' at the expense of a better player and possibly the team's objectives (winning) is shallow & fatuous.

These kind of articles make my blood boil. You want playing time, you have to earn it. His latest club must also be not too sure about him with just an 18 month contract offer. He only has himself to blame because he could not cut the mustard.
