mixed reviews... still, its what you make of it I guess. Looking forward to it. Not planning on doing anything other than relaxing. The most i'll be doing is going to the bar for a pint.
 
I guess if you do it the way Skeggy did it, with a couple of tank divisions and the SAS, you should be alright.

I think you have to judge it compared to what you've paid. The same holiday as I have booked is 3 times more in Turkey, but I've done it and it is probably slightly better - just not three times better!!!!
 
Every holiday is what you make it personally i'm still a big kid at heart and always go for the more commercialised destinations I love theme parks and lively pubs.
 
I'm the opposite these days gator, hate busy places and crowds. My Egypt holidays are escapes, I literally just relax, sunbathe and have massages. There is a busy loud music type bar at the place, opposite side of the hotel to the quiet sea bar I go to!
 
Yeah each to their own J some people like to chill and treat it as a break from the hum drum of everyday life and come back refreshhed when I get back off an holiday I usually need a week to get over it lol.
 
Some of it is health, I couldn't go wild if I tried these days!! But am more keen on my training etc so don't really miss the wilder side so much.

I will fall off the righteous wagon in Amsterdam in November!

I go to the bar, put on my iPod even though they often have entertainment ( which is rubbish!) and bury my head in a book or mag so I put a big wall around myself basically!!!
 
Definitely take heed of the water warnings Barney. Guaranteed trots if you don't.
 
Yup, some places worse than others. At this Egypt hotel they even let you know all the salad and fruit is washed in mineral water. Deadly! Lol

Awesome. Which hotel and what week? It would be a real coincidence if we are at the same place at the same time. I'm at the Hotel Marhaba Palace, Port el Kantaoui from 11th March.
