I watched it unfold live. Chilling, I immediately thought others could also be hurt from the piercing screams. Condolences to the families of the man killed and those injured.

I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories but something doesn't add up my opinion. Are we really saying that an overlooking building just 150 meters away wasn't checked and secured? Surely secret service would have noted and had men/snipers positioned on every vantage point within rifle range, let alone one so close? The other thing that didn't quite ring true to me was just how quickly the gunman was taken down. If they'd not got men on the building, how did they identify and take him out within seconds of the first shot? It'll be interesting to see just how the inquest pans out.

Trust me you wouldn’t see one inch of trump if that was genuine never mind get a full head shot for about 10 seconds,cast your mind back to the failed attempt on Reagan you didn’t see him for dust,convenient it’s his ear anybody that’s no marksman would aim for the biggest target ie his body this has got staged written all over it

I was just off to bed when Sky News went over live, I'd postponed my usual Saturday drink till tonight in the hope of having something to celebrate.🤞 I ended up watching CNN as it unfolded and they enhanced the audio, that's when I noticed just how fast the 'neutralised' message came over the speakers. Trump had barely hit the deck and yet they managed to identify and take down somebody outside the 'secure zone' on a rooftop. I suppose their own marksmen will be the best of the best or maybe it was a drone, if so a good response, but the facts are they wouldn't have needed that response if the zone was secured as it should have been.150 meters away is almost sat on Trump's lap in sniper rifle range terms. So what we've got in the end is yet another stiff who can offer no verbal explanation for his actions.

I've been waiting for some kind of attempt to be made. Nothing is ever quite as it seems, but the CIA do have some ‘previous…’
 
The deep state have done everything in their powers to try and stop the Trump juggernaut. Stealing elections, weaponising the judiciary, bogus impeachments, trying to bankrupt him, smearing him with lies - it's not a stretch to think they'd sanction his murder. If that's not the case the security detail was woefully negligent not sweeping and monitoring possible sniper vantage points.

Farage has been assaulted multiple times, Bolsonaro stabbed in Brazil, Fico shot in Slovakia, Abe fatally shot in Japan and now Trump. The left have always been the true violent threat to democracy.

I like a bit of Gerry C as you know Bully but for some reason they're not even showing his highlights on iPlayer. A problem with program scheduling is the excuse. I wonder if he had summat to say? ;)

That was my first thoughts Dave although I suppose we don't know if the kid had been set up for it. Might never know now pal.
 
The New York Times have been quick to, wait for it, brand the shooter as being 'far right'. They really are shameful.

The American MSM are feeding the people a diet of MAGA is no different to Nazism and Trump's an existential threat to the country who needs to be stopped. It's no wonder this kid with a gun was triggered.

Trump had four years in charge and what did he do that was so bad ? Lower taxes for every American, cut illegal immigration and kept the US out of foreign wars. Seems pretty good to me.
 
Just seen a pic of the shooter and thought to myself, "F..kin hell "The Milky Bar Kid is looking well! (No more "The Milky Bars Are On Me!")
