What have these four football clubs all got in common:

Chester
Rotherham United
Fulham
Halifax Town

If you think you know please don't post the answer on the thread, you can DM me if you want to know if you're right.

I'll post the answer later

The answer:_

All those clubs have nicknames which refer to their ground

Chester - The Seals (Sealand Road)
Rotherham - The Millers (Millmoor)
Fulham - The Cottagers (Craven Cottage)
Halifax - The Shaymen (The Shay)

and previously Leicester were known as the Filberts (Filbert Street) and Leeds as The Peacocks (The Peacock Ground)

Great question!

This was a connection on Only Connect couple of weeks ago.......but they had a much harder one instead of Chester. Any guesses as to another?

Outside of league, Tamworth - the Lambs, at the Lamb Ground.
Although is that a ground being named after a nickname rather than a nickname from a ground name??

Wasn’t Rokerites that I was thinking of. To be honest this a ground I’ve never heard of, but also a nickname that you may have wondered where it came from
