Vital 1st Team Regular
Was watching the hotel inspector last night and was wetting myself laughing. This vicar owns a hotel in Llandudno, and he spends the morning replying to customers on trip advisor... here are a few:
Complaint:
didn't like staying in this hotel because of 1. the terrible smell of synthetic freshener, 2. the dated decor, 3. the terribly greasy breakfast complete with tinned tomatoes, extremely sweet, cheap orange 'juice' and plastic wrapped 'pain au chocolat' 4. the bells ringing on the hour through the night. On the plus side the scaffolding and green netting covering the building made it easy to find our way back to. The waiter was helpful and the bed was comfortable however, I do not recommend this hotel.

I am sorry you found our synthetic freshener uncomfortable, not sure what it is but clearly you didn't like it, personally I prefer it to smells of alcohol and poor personal hygiene, the dated decor is what it is, a interior of a Victorian built hotel, we sell charachter here not chain hotel decoration, incidently I eat the breakfast here every day and I will not accept we serve anything that is greasy, the "tinned" tomatos are called Italian peeled, I am always pleased to enlighten, lots of people like them for breakfast, if you had asked the helpful waiternyou could have had fresh tomatos either served raw or grilled, it may come as a surprise that the beans came in a tin too, but you missed that one, the orange juice isn't cheap, although oranges by definition do tend to be sweet, so why didnt you ask for grapefruit, however the charge made to you for staying here was cheap so we have some points to agree on,Alex will be pleased! The pain au chocolate tastes better if you remove the packaging, but alas if you like plastic I am sure we could have found some for you, since you don't do our shopping the cost of providing you with a substantial breakfast is not something you can just take a wild guess at, bells ringing through the night may have been either the Victorian Market Centre clock chiming the hour or perhaps you had cheese too late at night, either way not much we can do about that, it's a bit like complaining about the seagulls, perhaps we could have supplied you with a few extra pillows! So pleased you liked the scaffolding, incidentally the netting is blue not green, so clearly you where staying at another hotel, in which case I suppose I am apologising for something we haven't done, after all I am reliably advised by non other than the famous Alex Polizzi that the customer is always right, albeit the helpful staff and comfortable beds does sound like ours!

complaint:
Stayed he wife my fiance as a valentines 'treat' .. I think we paid £50 for a double room .. Which is cheap.. The room door wouldn't even close let alone lock.. We had to keep the dresser against the door all night .. Bedroom old and dated.. Our room was next to what I'm guessing was a out of order room! Which again had a door that would not close and had the wind making it bang all night.
The was the same member of staff on from when we arived to when we left!
However it was in a good location near to all the pubs etc

It was so bad you forgot to do a review while now! We are talking about February this year, you go on about a door not closing but couldn't be bothered to report it so we could either get it fixed or change you to another room, don't know about any disused roomsm you ramble on about, a miserable grudging one for a central location near to all the pubs, you then go on about an old room, of course it's old it was built around 150 years ago, The furniture is what you would expect in a 2 star budget hotel, you also acknowledge that the room charge was very cheap, so let's sum up, you got a cheap room in a very central location and you gave it a 1. I hope people will see that you clearly don't have much to complain about at all, in fact you didn't bother to complain at all.

complaint:
We were welcomed by two friendly members of staff and shown to our room on the top floor.
Be prepared for the long climb, which is okay. Be warned as you pass the communal toilets, they did smell!
Our was clean, tidy and very comfortable. However, we did a mouldy cheesy sock. Possibly left behind by the last occupant. If someone has lost a sock, please contact the owner of the hotel.
We loved Llundudno but won't be coming back to this charming Victorian hotel.
Room Tip: Parking is at a premium. This a busy seaside resort and the member of staff did provide helpful park...

What utter nonsense, a award of 1 because you found a sock, wow you must be so perfect, look matey some half brain set fire to my hotel on sunday and endangered my guests and damaged my business so i suggest since you had a clean, tidy & comfortable room , my staff were polite and cheerful to you then I suggest you know where to put the sock!
