Transgender Toilets

I see that Japan is planning to have transgender toilets ready for the 2020 Olympics.

This issue became a big deal in the US last year with Republicans trying to create laws about which bathrooms people could use.

For me, it seems like a non-issue. I don't care who else is in the toilet, as long as they aren't in the same cubicle. I'd imagine transgender people see it as a bigger deal than I do.

So what's the deal with transgender bathrooms? Can't they just use whichever bathroom they feel comfortable with?

If I was female I think I would feel more vulnerable with mixed toilets. Imagine late at night your sitting in the bog and 4 dodgy blokes walk in.

I guess it'd depend a lot on the venue, clientele and whether there was a bog troll/security guard.

I've been to a place with a sort of open plan type bathroom, can't remember where. It was like left side ladies and right side men. No wall separating them and a sort of fountain sink in the middle. People just congregate there and chatted. Men and women. It wasn't intimidating or dodgy at all. If anything most male only toilets late at night can be a messy, cramped affair, with drugs and attitude. You don't know where to look.

This wasn't like that at all.

Can't say that for every night though.

Fair point Lewis. I remember sitting on the toilet in a wine bar in brum once. I then heard female voices and realised I was in the wrong toilet. It was more embarrassing than anything.
I also used a mixed toilet in France. It was a bit odd but I guess it's just because I'm not used to it.

It was a weird type of self-conscious. But better than trying to had a poo and someone trying to kick the door in which has happened a few times to me.

I think we have been taught to be so self conscious of what is a natural act.

Perhaps it is time to desensitise the World on this?

Maybe we should lead the way by having a Vital Villa Poo-In?

Shall we do it the night after a Fear/Deano curry?

In that instance, we'd have to notify the emergency services.

Um I think I will give it a miss! Doesn't seem much of a night out to me :158:

I was at a concert once where they'd stuck troughs on the wall for the lads but there was a massive queue for the portaloos for the ladies. One creative young lady came in, whipped down her pants and sprayed it out in the trough. I thought it was hilarious but I was fairly pissed at the time.

Classy lady.

But i'd much prefer that to an experience i once had.

Standing at a urinal of a pub doing my business like a shy prepubescent boy in the school showers after PE. The fella next to me who must have been 6ft 5 and built like a tank turned around with his tackle out and said "I bet yours isn't this big".

What do you say to that?

To be fair to him, it looked like he had his siamese twin's leg hanging out his trousers.

I wish i'd had a better response than "it's big enough to fill a pram" but that's the best i could do at the time.

Men's toilets are very strange places.

I know a transgender female to male who's living with another transgender female to male. No real point in this post I just wanted to be involved.

So are they living as a gay male couple?

I'm completely ignorant to these things but does this mean then that both were heterosexual but didn't want to be female?

We could have a free for all, just like the French!!!!
I was in France last week and it's still very much an all inclusive approach in certain places .

Be honest mate I've never asked but I assume so. The bloke I know better you can just tell he's a geezer he showed me some photos of himself when he was child all I can say is one ugly butch girl.

In one or two of the pubs round here, it's not unheard of for 'ladies' (I use the term loosely) to make use of men's urinals when the queue for the ladies' loo is too long. They turn and sit rather than 'spray' (as mentioned earlier in this thread.

Bizarre.

What was the question again?

"turn and sit"?

Wow, i thought spraying was classy but this brings it to a whole new level.

How many fellas have bad aim. I bet the rim of the urinal soaking in piss.
