Transfers

Did we get Phil Mitchell or Paul Mitchell🤣

Agent of Abdukodir Khusanov, claims that Newcastle were close to signing the defender:

“Newcastle was very close to the deal. They even remained one of the favourites, and then was the last to leave the race with City,” he said.

“As far as I understand, financial fair play also had an impact. Well, they didn’t have enough time.

Perhaps if they had made an offer earlier, they would have had time to come to an agreement.

“Then City put so much pressure on Lens that it was difficult to make a comparable offer.

It was also influenced by the fact that the French needed this money.”

Man city with 115 charges signing 3 players in the same day

I don't think we can blame psr at the moment. Seems finances are ok for this window. Time will tell in a few days.

We aren't signing anyone. I have no idea why Mitchell was brought in. I mean if he actually is being given the resources to perform his job then it's on him. But it looks like the hierarchy from what I can see. Either way it's not a good look. We haven't bought a first team player in almost 2 years?

There we go then, another transfer window where we've been left behind and are actually probably weaker at the end of it. Don't worry they will rebuild in the summer. Just bollocks, total bollocks.

If we are totally stuck because of all the ffp or whatever else why dont they come out say it and sell Bruno or whoever and try and move around it? Fucking useless and pointless doing this, just shit window after window. We're going backwards

Didn't really expect any permanent incomings but not even a loan? Disgrace. Even spurs signed a kid on loan from bayern Munich. No excuses for that window and zero communication with fans. Shambles

A semi final cup win and an announcement about a rebuild of St James' will make all this gloom disappear for now.

On a brighter note, we still have a decent group of 18 to 20 players, are in all cups still plus have no European distractions with a lighter fixture list.

Whether this is PSR at it's intention to stop us spending or not, there is absolutely 0% chance of this happening in the Summer as it would be madness as well as just deliberately not spending.

This is exactly what has happened the last 3 transfer windows so why all of a sudden would the next window be "madness"? We have 1 foot in the final of a cup and a chance to really push on and win it. Instead the club have adopted a dontgiveafuck approach. A chance to go down in history or just casually do fuckall? They chose the latter. Now that's madness

We have been to ONE cup final in 25 years. Cup finals aren't guaranteed and neither are cups, as we all should know. We won't finish top 6 this season that's pretty evident, but we could have thrown all our chips in and went for the cup. Nah let's sell some more players and the dumbcunts will think we are planning for next season. Then next season comes and it's rinse and repeat. Mugs man honestly

With respect lads while we are all disappointed we can't underestimate the effects of the various financial regulations. We are trying to compete with clubs who have way more financial clout than us. Maybe we should be grateful we didn't have to sell any of our main lads?

I think it's inevitable that we will have to sell a couple of the main lads to move forwards. Perhaps should have cashed someone in last summer

I take on all valid points but this argument is completely blown out of the water when you factor in the fact they were going to spunk ÂŁ70m on Guehi in summer. Now all of a sudden (A few players lighter) that money has disappeared. Its all well and good not selling our players but on this trajectory they will not want to stay and you can't force players to stay nowadays. Isak is arguably the best striker on the planet at the minute.

Did I mention the fact I am fearing the absolute worst on Wednesday night? Hope I'm wrong we'll need the crowd behind us but I think those scummycunts will pull it off. Insufferable horrible club manager and fanbase.

I have been telling people since the first leg this tie is far from over. If Arsenal score early we could be in for a torrid night. me I think whichever team scores first on Wed will go through to the final.
