Transfers - Summer 2025

They'll have to force Gallagher out, he's loving it there and has no interest in coming back to the PL..
That's a shame. I really can't believe that Chelsea would want Kudus having now added Gittens and Pedro, it must surely be a ploy to inflate his price?

We supposedly spoke with Xavi Simmons brother for the first time last week, after he made it clear he wants out of RBL (he's just taken over his affairs and now represents him). His agent/reps here seems positive that he wants to come to the PL (if the conditions are right), but he's not going to be cheap, even though he wants out - he is another who will cost around $70-75 mill, or so RBL are suggesting...

Seems $70 mill is the now new go to number for any half decent attacking midfielder!
Will the Tottenham board reach this conclusion!

I like him but that's too pricey.

Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Noni Madueke as they consider making an approach to Chelsea for the winger.

Madueke, 23, has given his green light to the move but there have been no club-to-club talks yet.

Arsenal have good relations with Chelsea and have already done business with them this summer, with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga joining Mikel Arteta’s side after the north London side triggered his £5million ($6.8m) release clause.

Madueke is of interest to Arsenal as they weigh up options to provide depth on the right wing, while the England international is also capable of operating on the opposite flank.

Mbuemo only wants united
Sememyo signed a new contract
Sane did a U-turn
Kudus is waiting for Chelsea
Eze wants Arsenal
Madueke wants Arsenal
Simmons is probably too expensive

Have I go this about right? 😂👌
We were never in for Sane, that deal was agreed last season.

Noni will be going to the arse's, that leaves an interesting debate on what happens with Eze. sadly, Chelsea have money to burn and they may just yet beat us to Kudus, but that's less than certain.

Anything could have with Simmons.

Money to burn or not, surely Kudus would just be chasing the money by going there knowing that playing time would be limited with the embarrassment of riches they will have.

Personal relationships trump money at times...

Enzo Maresca on Mohammed Kudus and Chelsea: “He’s a West Ham player so I can’t say nothing… the only thing I can say is I know Kudus since Ajax”.

Players at this level will gladly take the money whilst thinking they are better than what is already there. Plus, with Noni leaving, he will look at that RW position as easy money.

My honest thoughts are that this is going to be another tough transition season. We are competing to get back into the 6th-10th positions next season. Chavs, Scum, Citeh, Liverpool are 3-5 years ahead of us, and until we have any investment it will stay that way.

Sorry, but I think thats just a bit Apocalyptic tbh.

I think getting rid of Ange brought us immediately into the 6-8th league positions, as a minimum expectation, without changing a single player.

Scouse didnt need transitions, or squad re-tooling, because they hired the right coach. That guy, made a difference. We havent done such a thing since Poch left, until maybe now.

Those teams are ahead of us because they spend more, but they also waste alot more, and always will (Not that its proven to be much more of a successful model tho. ). We havent dropped 3 more seasons behind in development because we had a shitty coach deliver our worst league season. We have acquired some seriously talented players the past couple years, and our record of success based on ROI has been better than most of our Prem cohorts.

I think we need to find a LB/LWB/LCB type to co-op w Udogg.

I think we need to find a solution to a CM rotation, existing players or not, that doesnt leave us fried throughout each match like Ange's shitty stoopid tactics did.

I think we need a more consistent goal scoring threat from the CF attacking areas. Whether thats Solanke, Tel, Deki, Johnson, Lankshear, or someone else, we need to create more effective danger into that spot. (DCL is a free if we want a guy later in the window)

The biggest differences will come from a paradigm shift in our tactical approach, and game management nous. I expect that to be monumental in scale.

Im not botthered in the least if we dont sign a single new player before the season starts. However, if we did, I would go all out after.....

Jorell Hato
Harvey Elliot
Jedi Robinson
Noni

( I am aware of the chatter linking some w other clubs, and I dont care. It doesnt affect what Ive heard.)

I beleive we can get Xavi for 60m, but he may not pass the No Dickheads Rule.

Just might not be a dire as some Eeyores want you to think it is.

We are interested in this and that player! Only interested mind you! How about starting a list of players that We are NOT interested in? Perhaps is shorter! Question, WHY are we being rejected by players we are interested in?

I think you are far too confident in the team we currently have. Frank is a very good coach but we cannot expect him to work miracles with a lot of the players we currently have, without some key new signings.

We need a DM - maybe even 2. Bissouma has proven he cannot be trusted and Bentancur still struggles to be consistent - plus, neither are really DMs.

My other concern is any more under 20's being bought and expected to push for game time. Until we have some serious guidance for the ones we have in the squad, they will struggle to reach potentials.

In our current state, I don't see how we get higher than 7th or 8th, when considering how Frank likes to set up his teams.

From what Ive seen, Frank is entirely adaptable to his resources, and has successfully found a setup and system at each place he's been, and not all the same, or even similar. We have hired a "Coach", not a Human-Football-System like those other bozos.

I posted a rundown of the squad per position, and I dont see the probs you suggest.

Lolo Bentancur is the starting CM for Argentina, and he's very good there. He's not the sharpest knife on the tree, but he can play, and execute a direction. He wasnt given any of that the last 2 years here. Besides being run thru the Ange-Mill of player destruction.

I have long campaigned on here for someone to move Romero to that DCM spot. I know others (SpursEx) agree, and that he would be the lynch-pivot in that spot to cover the back and free up the front. Prolly score a few goals himself there too.

We def need a LCB/LB/LWB type player (left footed) as I just dont think Ben is the guy (Ive suggested Jedi Robinson & Jorell Hato), and we are loaded on the right.

Outside of that, we have guys at each place, with a potential guy right behind.

Spends gobs of money, fine, as long as the new guy is a nailed on starter, better than our current best. I dont see anyone we've been linked with that's worth that other than Harvey Elliot. Because I think he can be better than Maddison.

For years Spurs fans have whined and whinged about how we dont get the young guys before theyre too expensive and off doing good things for others. So now we are, and I really dont get the problem. Doesnt seem to me like any of these guys are being brought in to start (cept maybe Vuscovic but hes an animal). And we are actuall y moving on those that dont cut it pretty effectively.

Whats your Best & Second XI of those we have? As you imagin Frank would set up. Show the holes. Cant define a solution, until you define what yer talkin about.
