Moylan said repeatedly over the last two years the only thing he cared about was getting Lincoln promoted. He delivered on that. At the bus parade he was interviewed and said something like - 'whatever happens in the future these will be be unforgettable memories' - the way he said it i thought then he may be off. I don't begrudge him at all - he gave his all every game, helped deliver promotion and made a massive profit for Lincoln. I hope he gets (at least) a reasonable reception everytime he plays against Lincoln.

I don't think some of our supporters are capable of giving any ex-player a reasonable reception. That was especially highlighted to me when Harry Anderson was booed after having the temerity to sign for another club after we released him.
Something which really annoys me in all honesty

I think every club has some of those don't they. I've seen Liverpool fans refer to Jude Bellingham as Judas for having the temerity to not sign for them despite him never expressing any intention to do so.

Kinda sorta with you on that.

In the perfect world former players and fans would aplaud each other before and after the game. But for 90 minutes, fans can boo and players can celebrate. I hate all this false respect when a goal is scored, that's your team now!

I gave Peter Gain shit for kissing the badge, but still loved the player and all he did for us.

Being paid £8m a year is a massive amount, and being paid £31m a year will not change his already very rich lifestyle. I hope his conscience is clear.

I keep hearing this drivel about football being a short career. Can footballers not find ordinary jobs when they stop playing, and earn a living like the rest of us? I realise some of them are almost completely brainless - just listen to the interviews they give for evidence of that - but many are perfectly capable of returning to planet Earth after their playing days are over and finding regular employment in lieu. OK, some of them are.

He upped sticks to play for a club with a lot more fans a lot more money and a lot more chance of getting to the prem its quite simple he did the best for his career and family something which we all would do

You can tell from a transfer window what league or level you are at due to the number of difficult to spell names, an entirely reliable and accurate barometer. If I had stepped out for ten years, I would have been astonished and delighted in equal measure to cast an eye over the list and confidently decided we were no longer non league or lower league.

The downside is that when preparing any pre match press summaries, I expect I will be regularly pausing my typing to double check the spelling. It is a price worth paying.
