Transfer talk - summer 2024

Danny hall saying yet again any incomings likely to rely on departures
Someone’s made a killing this window 😳

Oliver Arblaster has been named in the England elite league squad for a double header next month.

Price upped another £10m

Its no longer fax machine time but Abdullah time. The whole day is being spun so if Hamer and Arbaster are still here, it will be seen as a win.
In fact we should have enough money to reject anything but top dollar bids and sign 3 more players.
Wilder just like Hecky has his hands tied. The same owd Prince bermuda triangle, money comes in then disappears

I think we’ve had a good transfer window overall. Most on here were saying the same a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t hear anyone who was against getting rid of the the players that have moved on and most were happy with those players that have been brought in. Practically a brand new team assembled. After the Burrows signing most were satisfied and wanted the window to close!! Some fans reaction to the window very puzzling. 🤔

Cricket it is then

Who’s been having who’s pants down I know the fans have had theirs done

Bullshit
Lies
And
Deceit
Every
Season

Abdullah is still technically in charge but this hardly puts the potential new owners in a good light (if this is ever going to happen).
Outside of the first 11 we are left with kids and rough diamond journeymen types.
The current manager has been given very limited resources, with promotion a financial necessity. Thats Wilder, Slav, Hecky and Wilder again this has happened to.
You can point to some good incoming signings but 20 out and 10 in tells a story. The wage bill has been well and truly trimmed and millions thrown down the PA black hole.
For not a huge amount of further investment we could have put together a very competitive side but hey Shackletons fit for a couple of games so we will be fine.

Every body and I mean EVERYBODY expected more incomings the absolute minimum being 2 more loans with trusty bringing in another 6m it’s unbelievable Chris hasn’t been allowed to strengthen the squad it’s paper thin

We could have offered Peck on loan to the Posh in return for signing Ricky Jade Jones. Surely we could have afforded that and Peck would have got good game time.
The pace of Jones would have been a real bonus.

Fuck the new owners, there aren't any. Stuck with the Prince who about March 2025 will tell everyone he wants to sell the club and there are interested parties. At that time we'll probably be comfortable mid table.

We've signed some decent enough players but it's as if the plug has been pulled before the job was completed. It's like Wilder was given the choice of keeping his two star players at the expense of a decimated squad. Purely on numbers we're 10 players down leaving the squad paper thin and unbalanced and has nowhere near the strength in depth that it needs to compete at the top end. How we can we be going into a season without a proven mobile striker is beyond me. 6 strikers have left only Brewster was left on the books and we've brought in 2. 1 target man in Moore who doesn't score many, Campbell, a striker who looks a mile off being fit and has never scored many when he was fit and of course Brewster, a striker who is hardly ever fit and hardy ever scores.
It's a f****** mess and I wouldn't be surprised if any further news today is bad despite what Wilder says. The only confusing thing for me now is that this window has all the hallmarks of Abdullah. If we do have new owners and they are happy with this self created mess we're in for a rough ride.

Completely unacceptable end to the window. This is beyond belief. Wilder will be fuming.

Nothing but negative indications about the new owners too.

Potentially a significantly negative day. We're sabotaging our chances of automatic promotion, and if this is anything to go by we won't be making any progress under the new owners beyond this season.

To want 3 or 4 signings, lose 2 players....... and sign 0..... is just unbelievable.

Compare the transformation of our forward line from last season:
McBurnie, Brereton, Archer, McAtee ---> Moore, Brewster, Campbell, Marsh.
Pitiful.

It's almost like Wilder's being fucked over so they can get round to sacking him ASAP.

Looking further ahead, we'll have too much to do even next summer. Consider that we'll have to replace Hamer and Arblaster as well as Anel and Souza. While already needing permanent additions at RB and CB in particular. We'll still need to sign 6 or 7 first team starters.
We could have put ourselves within touching distance of completely rebuilding the squad this window but instead we've just not bothered.

We're either still in serious shit financially despite the pending new owners and the large positive balance on transfers, or there are no new owners and it's still HRH's work, or the new owns saw the window as an opportunity to make serious money early on and don't give a monkeys about the negative consequences.

We have made enough money this window to bring in what we needed and have money left over. Bog roll c un t has fucked us. Going into a new season with no pace and shit strikers.

What's new ??

Getting rid of the two first teamers Slimane and Trusty without bringing in replacements, presumably for budgetary reasons, shows we're still not where we should be financially. Leeds knew it and that's why they offered a derisory amount for Hamer.

The club feeds us some positive news about the new training ground and then delivers another disappointing TDD.

Glass half full, we did get plenty of players we wanted this window. It's now up to Wilder and Knill to get the best out of Hamer, O'Hare, Rak-Sakyi, Moore and a few others - match winners Championship managers would be privileged to have.

We know where we stand this next four months and Wilder can concentrate 100% on 'the group''. If he doesn't deliver or starts acting up he'll be sacked.

The harsh reality is we've had to make up the suggested financial shortfall of losing 1 key player for big money such as Souza, Anel or Hamer for the sales of Osula, Trusty and Traore. Clear the manager wanted to bring more in but he's been over ruled.

The new owners are not in place yet so will have had little or no influence over incomings and outgoings. Yes it appears their man is advising the Club but the purse strings are still in the Princes control.

The worry is the promotion of 4 youngsters to the match day squad at the expense of incomings smacks of Mc Cabe esque delusion that the first team should comprise of academy graduates.

If thats the mentality permeating through SUFC corridors at the moment as a pre cursor to new owners coming on board it doesn't augur well for the future and confirms some peoples fear that we will move from a skint Prince to a set of skint Yanks.
