Transfer rumours

It looks like he is right footed so who would he potentially replace ?. For me we need a left winger (who can get past defenders with pace and get crosses in to Moore) but most importantly another quality striker.
I like the look of One but we should not be relying on an 18 year old as back up. He is not ready for that yet and Brewster is never going to be the answer.

It’s always a possibility but if we are still up there you would like to think the hierarchy would reject any enquiries and maybe that players also wanted to see the season through to a hopefully successful end
 
Ricky Jade Jones has scored 4 in 15 in League One, that's a drop off from last season and not the sort of numbers that warrant a huge price hike.

Charlton are looking to sell Miles Leaburn this window. He's gone off the boil a bit but at just 20 has the raw materials to develop into a PL striker. His most productive time at Charlton was when Rak-Sakyi was there. If the Yanks are looking to buy playing assets to improve their value he'd be a good investment.

It was speculated Reda Khadra's transfer was amongst those we were late on payment for. So Brighton may not want to do business with Abdullah. There's more chance Ferguson will end up playing on the continent than in the Champ anyway.

An interesting prospect is Ryan Kent. A free agent after leaving Fenerbache last month, the last 18 months have been good for his bank balance but not his playing career. He's being linked with Leeds, PNE and weirdly Leyton Orient.

Whether Kent would be attracted to us is questionable as is his ability to replicate his Rangers form. If it worked though it'd be a huge boost for that left side.

Louie Barry was poached from WBA by Barcelona when he was a kid. It didn't work out because of covid but if Barca, with their youth talent scouts, headhunt a player he must be special.

Villa wouldn't want to take him from a winning Stockport side for the nothingness of Wednesday. Boro have McGree, Burgzorg, Engel and a few others who can deputise on their left. They don't need him.

I think if it is solid interest from us and not just paper talk what we can offer Villa and the player will give us the edge. It'll also mean we won't be looking to bring back Brereton.
