Transfer Rumours Thread - Summer 2024

Agree SEX, CB and an attacking midfielder are the priority.

Otherwise I think there's some big(ger) names that need to head out to free some space up, I wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of Kouassi, Beesley and perhaps even Morgan and Carey going out on loan (i've been equally as impressed with Finnegan!).
Can't see Carey going out on loan, he's possibly our best midfield player? I hope Norburn gets injured for the season! Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh but Critchley is very unlikely to drop him. And at least he'll be on mega money doing nothing. He really is stealing a living.

MK Dons tussling Blackpool for Sunderland transfer breakthrough

  • MK Dons are aiming high with Embleton deal, looking to secure promotion to third tier.
  • Loan move to permanent deal option for Dons, as club competes with interest from Blackpool.
  • Embleton's success at Blackpool may sway decision, with potential return to League One.
Milton Keynes Dons are the latest name to be linked for a move to sign Elliot Embleton from Sunderland this summer, amid previous reports stating Blackpool have an interest.
This is according to Alan Nixon, who has tipped Mike Williamson's side to complete another ambitious signing this summer.

Shamelessly robbed from the Its Not Orange twitter account.

19 squad places out of 22 taken up.
- Thompson surely destined for the exit.
- Lyons probably not registered before January.

Leaves 5 more spaces in the squad - and I can't even really suggest anyone who we'd be overly disappointed being in the starting line up (excluding the usual feelings about CJ etc. etc.).

Not sure we've ever had a squad this "deep" in League One (note: I am not saying we have as much quality as we have in the past!). We've got a legit 2 players for each position.

Just reinforces the "solid" window we've had so far. If we can get 2 or 3 players who raise the bar talent wise we could be in a really strong place. Even if they came in the form of loans - if we could add a Ballard/Simms/Rhodes type of impact loan players we're cooking.

Sheffield Wednesday are now 'actively' trying to move out Blackpool linked forward Bailey Cadamarteri according to a report.
According to our friends at The Star, the Owls are now 'actively' trying to get Cadamarteri a loan move this summer. Wednesday signed Ike Ugbo from Troyes on a permanent transfer and that has now sped up transfer proceedings, as the youngster falls slightly down the pecking order.
It was reported by Darren Witcoop on August 2, that Wrexham had emerged as the front-runners to sign Cadamarteri. In an earlier report, The Star credited Blackpool along with their League One rivals Lincoln City and Stockport County with interest in the forward. Clubs in Scotland are also interested with Dundee United, Hibernian and Motherwell all keen.

Would be great potential and only 19...

Blackpool have been linked with a move for Wigan Athletic winger Jordan Jones.
The 29-year-old initially departed the Brick Community Stadium at the start of the summer following the conclusion of his contract, but rejoined Shaun Maloney’s side last week on a short-term deal.
A few days after his return, Jones featured in Wigan’s League One opener against Charlton Athletic on Saturday evening, but his future this season could still be elsewhere.

Blackpool Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Odeluga Offiah on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old defender joins the Seasiders from Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion, having featured in four of the Seagulls final six Premier League games last season.

Offiah came through the ranks at Brighton after signing as an Under-13 from Bromley and has since played regularly for the Seagulls in Premier League 2.

The versatile defender spent time on loan at Hearts of Midlothian at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, playing nine times for the Jam Tarts across three competitions.

On joining the Seasiders, Offiah said:

"It feels good to be here, I'm really excited to show what I can do at this Club," he said.

"As soon as I heard of the interest I wanted to join, as this is a big Club with huge history and I want to be part of that.

"I'm just excited to get going and get out on the pitch and play for this Club."

6ft 2" and nephew of Martin 'Chariots' Offiah
be very happy if he has the same sort of pace as his uncle had

On paper (as I appreciate it hasn't shown much so far) that's the best transfer window we've had below the Championship.
