Think that's turned out to be a decent window in the end, we've certainly addressed some of our problem areas (albeit it towards the end) but there's still some gaps in the I believe.
At the start of the season, I thought we needed:
- RB(s) - SORTED.
- CB (replacement for Ballard) - Not Sorted. Still think Keogh is rubbish and that's a definite downgrade. Not seen any of Connolly at CB yet, but think we are worse off here at the minute.
- CM/AM (replacement for Embleton) - TBD. Dale has played at No. 10 in the past, and TJJ seems to be playing in this area, so we've brought people in and we'll see how they get on. CM also became an issue later in the window with Ward going down, Wintle coming in certainly helps, but obviously the club feel like we lack some real quality here with the approaches for Brannaghan and O'Reilly.
- ST (replacement for Simms) - TBD. Lavery looks the business, but having the mobile big striker gave us an extra dimensions last year. Need Madine back fit.
Few bonuses in there beyond that, such as Dale who probably takes Mitchells position whilst he's injured, and Lavery as mentioned above. Squad is definitely stronger overall, but it's a wait and see if the First XI is an improvement.
