Training spies.

A mountain is about to be made from a molehill, can you really gain that big an advantage by watching a team train?

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has admitted sending someone to spy on Derby County in training - but insisted it was "not illegal".

Derby called police on Thursday morning following reports that a man was "acting suspiciously" on the perimeter of their training ground, ahead of the two teams' clash in the Championship, which Leeds won 2-0.
The man was escorted away by police and Derby manager Frank Lampard stopped training until the incident was over.

I think the issue is not what might or might not be gained, it’s just not in the spirit. It’s seeking to gain advantage or, to put it bluntly, cheating.

I agree but now we are hearing tales of the big clubs buying houses overlooking training grounds and stadiums if this is true where is this going to end.

Next, they will be using drones. as for spying, I think it has been going on for years. At Carrington, there were all sorts of people with ladders cameras climbing trees, I think this is nothing new and Frank Lampard will know his old Club Chelsea were not averse to having a peek at the opposition.

I think in this case it was more than just a case of a ladder and peering at them through some binoculars. This guy had a set of tools including pliers.

All bullshit as far as I’m concerned.
Frank now has ammunition to defend his team in defeat.

Have you noticed Leeds’ results have gone a bit t*ts up, since spygate? Maybe they did gain a big advantage by going to such great lengths. And now they can’t use the strategy, they’re feeling the effects?
. :hmmm:

A lot of nonsense, they all do it but do not admit it, consistency and tiredness and the pressure when you are up there that is all.
