In many ways this is as big a game as Chelsea.

All games will be important from now until May. But this will also send a message. To ourselves.

Every game at home is a 'must win' and every away game is 'must not lose' if we are to make top 4 again...

Can't wait to get back down the lane. :4:

With Man U and Liverpiddle playing and a possible draw coming up there, we need to win every game. If the Chavs slip up again, we could take big advantage. Arse nal don't look too solid really. A win IS the only answer and yes it IS as big as the Chavs game for me.

I never can underestimated the powers of Wenger's le arse to recover from set backs and go on a run, they seem to do it season after season...

This years Top4 is a momentous competition, probably the toughest we've seen in years.

Is that a myth though? Last season they really under-performed in the second round.

I'd expect nothing less than a win. We have to extend the winning run as long as we can.

Was it last season or the season before they went on a 16 match unbeaten run in the PL, or is my memory playing tricks with me?

West Brom will be a game of attrition, i hate the way Pullis gets them to play away from home, but it's pretty effective...

When you look at points gained per round though, in the last 5 seasons le arse have one very strong round and one pretty average - usually 5-7 points less. Hopefully this pattern resumes and we are about to see another average round, it's about time we finish above them.

God I hope so.

..but you know if we do then they will just be ..."yeah so what, you finish above us for the first time in god knows how many years, get over it Spuds"

...but I will savour it for a very long time!

Top4 is virtually guaranteed with this new 3-4-3 formation, as it is for Chavs and even Pud (who play 3 up top)... Citeh should be there too, just.

L'Arse and Maureen's team will not be as effective with their back4s..... they have now been superceded.

until they learn the lesson too.

Can't stand Pulis. His tactics are so negative and boring.

He always has his teams sitting deep against us. With our new system as an option and the form of our attacking players I think we will have too much for them.

3-1 Spurs.

Hopefully with our wingbacks sitting far higher and the standard of delivery improving, we will see alot more effort getting to the by-line and balls being cut between the goal keeper and their back line. We do this and we will punish them for sitting deep. Playing the ball around in front of them is exactly what they want us to do.

Can see nothing only 3points here keep the momentum going. Puts the pressure on the rest. Fancy Utd and Leicester both to get something from Scouse and chavs and wouldn't be surprised to see Everton do city some harm. This could be the week to move to second and close Chelsea down again we must win this one at all costs

They are a bit of a bogey side for us nowadays, they haven't lost in the last 3 visits to WHL.
I expect it will be tough going, but hoping for the 3 points this time.

This game is as 'spursy' as they get. Coming off the back of a fantastic win against the Chavs and a cup stroll against Villa. Who knows which players will turn up thinking like rocketspurs does in his comment? Quite often in the past we have gone onto the pitch with this mentality and come unstuck. Look what happened in the games following our win over Citeh earlier in the season. Now is the time we have to have the mental fortitude to treat every game as we did the Chav game. Without it we will always be close to winning things without actually winning anything.

We must focus fully, steamroller them and hopefully get a really 'early goal' then they can't continue to pack the defence for the rest of the game and will have to come back at us, then things will open up.....an early goal is key!

If Walker doesn't put in one decent cross by the hour mark he should be taken off and replaced by Trippier one of the best crosser's of the ball in the entire league.

Horses for courses for me.

One of our weapons against park the bus teams is the few players we have in our squad who can be fronted up and not just square pass, Rose , Walker and the Moose.

Space naturally opens up against teams that have a go at us, but against these sort of teams I'd always hope those 3 are starting purely because they can go past players and make space happen.
