4 or 3 at the back?

I am really stuck on this one because I want Dier at DM but I also want to see 3 at the back........and we have yet to see 3 at the back with Dier at DM.

Harry is back so Vincent Janssen is out.

Son pretty much has to start.

Individual form is making selection and formation interesting.

All good problems to have and I feel our formation is becoming more reactive and fluid against weaker teams.

Hoping Kane can get back into the golden boot race but don't want Alli or Son's goalscoring runs to end. 8-0 it'll have to be

2 at the back with Dier as DM and Trippier as RB.

Our attacking players are on fire, no need for a 3 at the back formation with Wanyama as DM, too defensive minded IMO, and without Rose the 3 at the back system is lacking.

I wish Poch would allow players in form to keep their place, but knowing him Wanyama and Walker will be back.

Whichever team Pochettino puts out will be the best one for the game. For me, I just enjoy the positivity of what we are doing these days under his regime. I haven't been able to say that for a long time. It makes being a Spurs supporter great. Lubbly jubbly!

I was happier with the Swansea game than the Watford one, tbh. I just love knowing this side has the capacity to claw out a win when everything seems to be going against them.

Bournemouth will try to counter, so we need to control the tempo, be patient and put them to the sword.

I can only see one winner, I honestly think we will go the rest of the season unbeaten. I wonder if any team has ever lost only 3 games and not won the league

Not a given against Bournmouth , must be sound in defence to start with. Our formations are pretty fluid. I wouldn't be against Janssen starting to make Kane's return more gradual. He has said he is not 100 % yet so if Janssen takes the sting out the game first it could make sense .

Trippier has done well and deserves more games. Walker blows hot and cold and has never had good delivery which is strange because he is technically good. I would rotate them more than he has this season.

The only thing that concerns me is what Dier said in his interview, along the lines of, we started a little slow and it was difficult to get through their defence line. I'd ask, why did we start slow? Heard that before and sometimes suffered or grafted very hard to recover from a losing position. At this point in the season, we should be a well oiled machinery with the right mindset from the off. I am not complaining as lads have and are doing well. However, will only take one 'low end' team to spoil the party.

IMO, B'mouth are much better than Watford and they have some very good individuals who can carve out a chance. We really MUST score 1st and build on it. They are not completely out of the woods re relegation, even though Watford are above them. Personally I'd like to see the same starting 11 as v Watford in the knowledge that Wanyama and Kane are available to make a difference. However, the praise that Poch heaped on Kane (another Messi), I'd expect Kane for Jannsen to be the only change. COYS!

ps., Kane should thrive on those crosses from Trippier. Besides he needs a hat trick to catch up with Lukaku.

Tactically, Dier did get a chance to expand on his 'we started a little slow' because when you run the positional analysis of the game for the first twenty minutes it's clear that their workrate, coverage of one on two, tackle back up and positioning recycling meant that they were working at an extraordinary temp and looking for opportunities to try and counter or take advantage of a set piece.

So I wouldn't over-do an analysis of a players comment too much; we try to hold and pass and move and if we'd matched their 100 mph defensive strategy, it would have been much more difficult to impose ourselves as we did after the breakthrough - Sometimes we just have to be patient, teams come us with a 10 men behind the ball plan now - and we have to accept that we have to try and draw them out and no simply match their manic 'do go behind at any costs defensive plan'...

Bournemouth are much better than Watford, but they do concede and I can see plent of goals in us, even if we do have to remain patient to see them..

Whoever we play in the PL will be fresh and on their toes with a strategy. Sometimes that works and will stifle us for a while. Then we have to be patient and press for a mistake or opening.

Even a park the bus side will look to counter on the break.

Bournemouth are a good playing side and they could try and match us in the middle to upset our rythm as others have. I would be cautious at the start a bit like we were at Watford. You can't roll over all the teams straight away.

Why do we have 3 threads going on the Bournemouth game? Can't we merge them. I'm sticking with this one anyway.

It`s too late Wilshere…..you ain`t going to be able to do your Gooner mates a favour! Their Toast!

I predict minimum 5 pauses and 5 cut-ins from Walker! Oh, and a 4-0! COYS!

So glad I tuned in early 6:30 am. NBC is doing Extensive pregame coverage with in depth coverage on WHL and tours through the dressing room and other areas. Very cool NBC!
