Top scorer this season.

Maddox

Vital Reserves Team
Coming of 7 goals in one night it seems appropriate to take our fluid tikky tacking team and analysis who's going to be top scorer.

As daft as it sounds and being we don't do a bloody thing as we should. I'm going McCormack, I doubt any one of them will be a belter.

Really like the look of Hogan and expecting good things from him, but gotta be Kodjia. He's our main man.

I will take a punt on Hogan .

Ironside is 100% correct about the runs he makes.

If only we could wheel Sid out to spot them.

Liked the look of O'Hare. He tended to fluff it when in good positions, but as a provider for others he could have a good future.

Good goal of Gabby's. Maybe ....

Gabby to be top Scorer this season.

I predict 3 more names added to his CSA bill which would be a decent return.

I've no idea why, but the ladies seem to pick him to play on the pitch and he seems to be able to find the net and score fairly regularly.

He likes to dribble and beat a man but a goal is a goal no matter how they come.

He'll also have a lot of time on his hands to perfect his technique given he won't be playing much football this season (hopefully).

I have to agree with Ironside and sirdennis.
With a midfielder with the vision to see Hogans runs and the ability to pass the ball, Hogan could hit 25-30.
Without that midfielder Hogan might get 10.
Got the feeling Kodjia will be gone come January.
If McCormack loses 2 stone, he could end up with another 20+ haul.
If Kodjia does leave, I'd love us to get Millwalls Lee Gregory. He has the same kind of movement as Hogan and is happy to play the second striker role. I think together the two of them, with that visionary midfielder, would tear any team a new one.

I've a feeling Kodjia will stay. Seems happy enough, knows he's appreciated, probably on a decent whack. He's not Champions League material.

Also have a gut feeling that McCormack won't come good. He's had plenty of time to get fit, but doesn't look it.

McCormack looked fitter last night , but he is painfully slow and seemed a yard off the pace.

Maybe he was rusty as he hasn't played for a long while.

I'm not convinced by Hogan. I hope he can prove me wrong but he did nothing last season after we forked out a load of cash for him. I suppose you could argue no one has "passed it to him right", but for me it's a case of eventually you've got to stand up and be counted and not just wait around for the perfect pass

I know what you're saying about making things happen but it could be argued that having spent that load of cash you should at least play to his strengths. Far from waiting around, he made good run after good run, offering for the pass but was never found. You wouldn't sign Kevin Phillips and then play him as a target man (though David O'Leary decided it was best to play him behind Angel as a number 10 :83: )

I know not everyone will agree but I often found myself saying about Veretout that "he's entitled to think someone would be getting on the end of that" when he played quite a few good through balls / balls down the channel the season before last, his first instinct seems to be to look forward for a runner - could we already have the player to unlock the door?
