Absolutely no sympathy from me he gambled with our very existence and lost and no way was he responsible for getting Wes and Nawris they were already looking for a club we were very lucky they came across us.Doubt there would be much sympathy for him if we were in Sunderlands position right now or worse which is what undoubtedly would have happened.

There was always a lot of bullshit from Dr X about who he was and what he was doing. His claim that he went to Harvard couldn't be verified.

Still, he was unlucky with us (or maybe clueless). He spent a lot of money to get us straight back up but whoever was behind signings like Fat Ross should be doing time in Chinese prison.

If we'd beaten Fulham, he'd be still here and we'd probably be back in the Champo.

He bought us around the same time as a load of Chinese "investors" bought in to English football. The CCP let on that they wanted to win the World Cup and would give anyone who helped them do that, the inside track. That meant that Dr X could get easy investments from Chinese billionaires for football, especially investments outside China.

When the CCP saw how much money was being wasted on foreign players in the domestic league and how much capital was leaving China to go into other football leagues around the world, they pulled the plug on the whole thing.

That was why Dr X couldn't get the money to pay the tax bill. That's also why he went from pumping money into the club like it was going out of fashion to selling the family jewels to keep the lights on.

He wasn't a good owner but you can't really fault a guy for an investment that didn't work out because the CCP changed their mind.

Confirmed in the Asian press that Dr Bullshit has spent some time in the chokey. From what is rumored about Chinese prisons his posterior probably looks like the Japanese flag 🤣😂
How grateful we must be that the new owners stepped in when they did.

It looks like he has failed to repay loans to the wrong people. Perhaps he thought he had more pull with those in power than the guys he borrowed from or perhaps just more pull than he actually has.

The rule of law in China is fairly sketchy.

I tend to agree. He was genuinely passionate about it and backed his managers. It was all a bit mad really. If we get into trouble under the current owners we'll see what they're like. Even Lerner walked on water for a few years didn't he?

Must be serious, The Recon Group homepage has ditched Ashley westwood graphic and gone with Jonathan Kodija in full flight in front of the Trinity Road stand
