Tony Xia - September will be crucial for us.

Yeah, September is an important month, definately. But then October is an important month too..... so is November. What I'm saying is every month is important, you can't really afford to have any poor month because if we do, then you can say goodbye to a shot at promotion.

It's as simple as that.

I get what you're saying Pride but there won't be many months with 6 games in, and with half of those games being against the 3 worst teams in the league (according to the bookies), so September IS a very big month in terms of points expectation.

if we fall short, it will hurt us.

It's a valid article but fails to mention the fact that the arrival of Onomah and the emergence of Davis are the real game changers ... if only he sees it.

Well he has hasn't he?.

They Davis started last two league games. And Ononmah has started the last 3.

After a poor start, I'd agree that we need a minimum of 12 points from the 6 games in September. That would put us within touching distance of the play off spots. All 6 games are winnable, but none will be easy so I am far from convinced that we will get those points unless we can sort out our leaky defence.

It's a crucial month for SB, any less than 12 points and it's the Spanish archer for him.

Quote from Bruce - "We've now got the first month out the road,we're probably five points behind where we should be".
How uninspirational is that - Jesus! :26:

September is moving month . We should be looking at 6 league wins , not bothered about the Micky mouse cup.
16-18 points if we're to be taken seriously.

On reflection bruce has done what should have been done when dealing matteo took over. His transfer dealings show a profit. I'm not his biggest fan but I really hope the next 6 weeks bares fruit and by November we are top6 to 8 and ready to push on.

What happened to the 'hit the ground running'? The current rate of points per game equates to 46 per season and that would have us well relegated last season. We got the first month out of the way, I stumbled upon a formula and we scored 8 goals in 2 games and then ....

The pattern of play is woeful at the moment and very inconsistent now to Brentford .....last time we played a team who had sold half if theirs - Barnsley last season we didn't get a kick and they smashed us to pieces so let's beware still villa Win .... Middlesbrough Gary monk fine manager will have them running all day not sure of their fire power draw .... so dare not look too far ahead but really have to put a run together cause we are falling further and further behind the prem

Our aim has to be automatic promotion. I'm not interested in the playoffs that's just a bloody lottery and not fussed about the cup.

We need to average 2 points per game so after our poor start if we are going to do it we are going to have to have an excellent month to get us back on track. The sooner the better as the longer we leave it, the more pressure will build.

The Sept fixtures look kind on paper especially with 4 at home, so I would say 5 wins out of 6. That puts us right back on track and has to be their target.
4 wins and a draw the absolute minimum to keep us in the mix.

I have checked out many previous seasons of championship teams who were mid table after 15 games and very few got promoted from that poor a start. 2 points a game , minimum 73 points for the play offs , +20 goal difference to get near auto promotion. If after 10 games we have 10 points we will be climbing a mountain again. To think that the only reason davis played against Norwich was because flabby was injured and against bristol hutton would have played if he wasn't injured , grim.

I was going to poo poo Xia's tweet as a load of old cobblers until I read that but it looks like September could be crucial for us. We have a good run of fixtures there so if Bruce can't do the business he will be under immense pressure.

There are no excuses left. With everybody fit we can field a very good first 11 at this level.

By the end of September we need to be on a minimum of 20 points imho .
October has only 3 league games but they look tough, Dingles & small Heath away and Fulham at home .

I honestly believe we have a fantastic owner , one who communicates, understands and has a vision. Ellis was an arsehole who had steve stride and Graham taylor to get him out of the shit. Randy spent a fortune and was far away and it collapsed. Dr xia is our saviour because as a business we are a joke but it will change , we have to be patient and believe in the plan and hope they listen to us .

I remember this time last year when loads of us thought somone was in for a good hiding, then the period during the Xmas transfer window and high optimism for a play off push.

Football is always lived on hope and dreams, perhaps it is our turn, we have had so many false dawns, but always remember there always those who are worse off than us and more deluded - Eddy, the old Boggy on WM was adamant tonight that it was their turn to shine - 45 points in the PL last year and turgid football in a stadium half empty....he can keep it.

The performance today was absolutely disgusting.

I , as a lifelong villa fan have to leave the club because I feel that chinese owenrs cannot properly support the club - is is an investment only.

Unfortunately, I disagree with money only profits and if I do not think that the current owners support the club which is Aston Villa, I will have to leave.

This is a club which has been supported through my family over generations; I am not going to send it over to the Chinese now; I no longer feel that it is the same club and I will pass the information amongst my fellow supporters.

You cannot take over our traditions dear. Tell me how you are adhering to our Englisg traditions or I bid farewell foreigner.
