Tonight...

Vital 1st Team Regular
Starting to get really excited about tonight.

I've got a good few mates who support spurs, and it would be a dream to get a result against them and be able to give them grief for years to come (as we are unlikely to play them again any time soon when would get any sort of revenge).

It's win win really, if we lose, it's expected, but if we draw or win then I will be able to rib them for a long time.

I expect we'll get smashed, but of course there's always that glimmer of hope, that dream that we might pull off some sort of miracle. This would actually be in another level to Sheff Weds and Bradford City, who both got relegated the years we beat them. Spurs are in the Champions League, have many multi million pound players and are 3rd in the premiership. Even if they play a few fringe players, it would be incredible to get a result tonight.

It's time for JET and Dack to stand up and show what they're worth.

Does anybody know if O'hara is back yet? could do with somebody of his experience in the middle of the park to come on in the 2nd half.

I believe that O'Hara will not feature due to injury.

JET owes us a performance and Dack is putting himself in the shop window.

Spurs will make quite a few changes but we can only beat what's there.

Me too. Will be heading off soon to get a train from Ebbsfleet to Stratford.

Fingers crossed for a) a good result and/or b) a good performance

Just hopped on the train at Kettering, London in an hour, pub in an hour and five and starting to really look forward to it, just hope we win in normal time otherwise I'll miss our win in extra time or on pens to catch my train.

At least you're getting there Herr, my train from Peterboroigh was cancelled so having to miss it! Hoping we turn them over so we can go to Northampton in the next round.

Gutted for you mate, that's shit. If we get Cobblers away in the next round I'll stand you several beers ;-)

I'm trying to think positively about it but not a lot to be positive about; it's probably karma for being a plastic!

Realistically, we're looking at a defeat. It's not often where we face a back-up strike force that includes a 17million Dutch International waiting to make his first senior appearance for Spurs.

Having said that, we faced down a Watford side with Ighalo and Epoue playing against and we neutered and frustrated the threat by Troy Deene, who went on to score a spectacular goal away to West Ham a fortnight later, so we can compete against the very best (even if we were a little apprehensive to begin with at Vicarage Road). So a win might be unlikely, but it's by no means impossible.

I would be happy with a respectable defeat tonight and the team's pride and experience embellished, to inspire the players and fuel push for a play-off place or promotion push spot as we progress through this season.

I don't think we're that bad, it's just Spurs are infinitely better, their pressing has us on the edge of our own box with no out ball except a hoof to Cody or the anonymous JET.

Janssen cost more than our entire club is worth and he's dog shit.

"their pressing has us on the edge of our own box with no out ball except a hoof to Cody or the anonymous JET."
So basically it's Port Vale all over again.

Could have been double figures if Spurs had a decent striker, the humour in the away end for the last half hour was the best bit of the game.

Someone has already posted on another site that Justin Edinburgh had no tactical nous tonight and should be sacked and replaced by Steve Lovell and Mark Patterson!
