Ex City goalkeeper Tommy Wright is managing SPL team St Johnstone and has taken the small town team to their first ever SFA cup final.
After beating Aberdeen 2 - 1 they now take on Dundee United which will in fact be a Tayside derby.
St Johnstone was my club growing up ( many years ago) and I am very glad for all the many die hard supporters, many old riends of mine, who still go to watch them. It is hard work supporting small teams with limited money and a small support base, so I wish them all the best and hope they have a great cup final day whatever the result. I'm sure they will!

Tommy went there as assistant to another ex city player Steve Lomas, who unfortunately got the sack for poor performances and Tommy took the chair and has done well as Ozi says, here is hoping that they can pull off an upset in the SFA Cup

Never struck me as being someone who might make it as a manager. Mind you, would've probably said the same about Lomas. Quitea few ex-Blues coming through coaching various clubs now, the complex tactics of Frank Clark must've worked a treat!

Lomas went to Millwall I think and got the end from there, never wanted by the fans as he played for West Ham ??? at one time also. Anyway, whoever it was, the Millwall fans gave him a terribly hard time of it according to an ex pat Millwall fan I met recently.

Unemployed at the moment, but an article in the press suggested that he was loking to his pal Brandon RFodgers for inspiration on how to succeed, but if you have not got it, then try something else, some great players have tried their hands at management and found it is not as easy as the game on your X box etc.
