I'm at a loss for words. If players are not committed to the cause why are they being selected? I would rather an excited youngster who is going to run out of his skin to get the first team, than a selfish seasoned pro wondering if he is going to get another lucrative contract. If this is true management need to sort it out immediately.

Re Mings- definitely the future. Sign him up at all costs.Funnily enough I read it differently not that there were major splits but definitely that players are pulling in different directions. I read it as some players trying too hard and wanting to do a lot on their own without following instructions or being a team player e.g. Kodjia, El Ghazi, probably El Mo too.
I did notice last week and appears to be the case since he joined that Mings ruffles feathers. He gave El Mo a bollocking last week and El Mo didnt react well and I cant help but think some players don't like how Mings acts. I see a leader through force tbh a lad who doesnt like passengers.
I don't see too much in what he said. Some players don't know how to close down the opposition in packs.
I agree, but Elphicks comments (to me) sound like a criticism of the player willing to press rather than pack.
As a player you trust your team mates, my earlier example of SJM pressing more often than not see’s the two other midfielders in their usual position rather than stepping up.
Our current crop of players with a few exceptions do not have the desire, ability or fitness to do it.
