Sensible answers please because it's driving me nuts!
I've had it for about six months now (constant high pitch 10khz); have any of you got it/had it? Any tips, treatments? I think mine may be medication related but my Doc won't listen to that argument.
Any help would be appreciated..

I had a touch of it when I temporarily lost my hearing with a build up of earwax earlier this year. The practice nurse said don't syringe. Drip copious olive oil into your ears especially overnight. Plug it in with cotton wool coated in Vaseline to stop it wicking away. She told me it might take a month or even two or more. One morning after about 10 days things dramatically changed and suddenly I could hear again. Check out you have earwax though or it would be a pointless procedure.

Thanks Seb but I've already checked that; even had the Doc scope my ears to no avail. The funny thing is I forgot to take my diabetes medication the other morning (I take it twice a day, morning and night) and only realised that night therefore going practically 24 hours without it and my tinnitus that day was considerably quieter. It could be coincidence I suppose as meds can't come out of your system that quick but it was significant..

So, work towards that dramatic weight loss we talked about before and hopefully get off or reduce the meds. Here in the UK we will all be dramatically losing weight until our Dig For Victory campaign gets going since the Frogs are blockading our food supplies.

I started suffering from it about 5/6yrs ago.
Mrs Xile (no2) says my hearing has got progressively worse, I call it selective, that I had a hearing test.
They said it was fine, and when I nentioned my tinitus the specialist said - there's lots of apos that play a background noise to cancel it. Find out which one is best for you and then put headphones on/in so you can't hear it!!!
My is a consistant pitched white noise.
I'm not convinced it's all down to technology. We have had 5g in the house for about 6yrs now and minecakwsys "sounds" worse when I am near the laptop, phone etc.

Drives me nuts too Paul.

Thanks Dave. I've tried many apps with binaural beats also and it does distract somewhat but honestly any constant noise would. Mine is also a high pitched constant noise (listen to a 10khz sound on YouTube and it's EXACTLY that). We don't have anything as fancy as 5G here in Oz but it's funny you should mention technology as mine is clearly worse when the TV is on. I too have had a hearing test with no significant evidence of hearing loss.

Perhaps it's a 'Bowerham' thing...
