Three word soundbites

Vital 1st Team Regular
Listening to coverage of the American elections started me thinking about how much communication directed at us is in three word soundbites, repeated over and over, so it must be seen as an effective tool. There are clearly exceptions, but some examples:

Trumpisms
  • Sleepy Joe Biden (2020 election slogan)
  • Lock her up)
  • Build the wall) both of these were effective enough to help get him elected
UK Election
  • Get Brexit done – did its job very effectively
Race relations
  • Black Lives Matter
  • Kick it out (UK football slogan) – both seem to be having an effect
Business
  • Just do it (tho’ there is a four word version)
  • Right first time
Are we programmed, as intelligent humans capable of complex thought, to respond to these repeated simple soundbites? They certainly seem to be effective

Am I wrong here?

UP THE IMPS, WE ARE IMPS, COME ON LINCOLN………

Trump can only string 3 words together, anything beyond that becomes incoherent, eg his bleach musings.

Best Covid-related slogan conforms - Preston's "Don't Kill Granny" the most concise explanation of why we all need to observe advice, so much more effective than the stuff the government and devolved assemblies have come up with.

Three word slogans...

A B C
(easy as)
1 2 3

Two more triplets that we all know and use.
There's definitely something in this.

And a popular pair of triplets from the 80s:
Maggie Maggie Maggie
Out Out Out

At football:
Here We Go
Here We Go

And of course as already noted at the start:
We Are Imps
We Are Imps
Etc
