Thread for wx

I went into a hardware store and asked the member of staff if he could advise me on what iron to buy.

He said "Kenwood"

I said, "well, can I speak to him please"?

(Sorry, is this the wrong thread?) 😉
Bob mortimer. very good.

I've already said I don't intend to ignore wx, I usually enjoy his posts.

I was referring to this one comment which I found to be particularly stupid:

It was stupid because it needn't seem strange (unless you don't understand anarchISM) and because nobody, least of all me, had told him where he could or could not post a point of view.

Honestly, I never intended to upset anybody. Just thought his negativity was misplaced on our first winning match thread of the season.

Anyway, I see Billy has created a new thread for wx. He can choose to post (or not post) on this thread, that thread or any other fucking thread. Goodnight.
when you read plain text it 's difficult to get nuance.

i may have overreacted.

apologies to mr buddha as i generally favour your output.

It’s great isn’t it 😂

Any thread can turn left or right onto a completely different subject at the drop of a hat.

Actually, I’m after some advice.
Today, I decided to tidy up my garage.
I took loads of stuff out.
Put it on the driveway.
Then put it all back.
It took about four hours all in all.
Why can’t I just chuck stuff I don’t need away?
It might come in handy.
It won’t.
But it might.
Yes, we all do that.

When my clothes get too scruffy I still keep them for when I might need to do a dirty job, gardening or paint a wall, etc

Only problem is that I am now keeping about six different outfits which are filling up drawers, cupboards and wardrobes. Of course, I only need one.

I also have a bike taking up space in the garage that I bought at least 10 years ago, have ridden about ten times and not at all since I had it serviced thinking that I might ride again. Madness.

I'm like that with offcuts of wood. Had a whole box of them from jobs I'd done over about 15 years.
Finally got brave and took them down the tip a few weeks ago but I'm dreading that day that I actually need one 😢
