BBC Newsnight can show brilliant pics from Mars but can't get the accompanying interview from Shoreditch!
 

Yes indeed, it's the 3rd time it's failed, although it technically got to touchdown I guess. Bear in mind they only went 10k up and tested if they could change it's attitude to come back into the atmosphere laterally to slow it down enough to land it. They are a long, long, long way from getting anywhere near Mars on a manned mission.

They haven't done any testing at all marrying this rocket up with the massive boosters they are planning to strap onto it, and those boosters haven't been tested separately either yet..
 
Musk has been promising trips to the moon and Mars almost as often as we've discussed a ground move on here; like that, it's always 10 years away. :grinning:

I'm going to wait until the exploding issue is sorted before buying my ticket.
