Thick as pigsh!t

It’s once again damage limitation. Any one to blame but him.
No Different to Boris. He survived a few times. But eventually got potted.
He will go the same way. If not. Next week. after. May the 7th a bigger possibility.

The damage is too severe this time, though like I said he’s a cockroach so will somehow remain in post. The spin from the government is off the charts, though as expected completely contradictory. He didn’t correct the House Wednesday or indeed yesterday as he wanted time to concoct his tissue of lies, willing to take a hit on a breach of the Ministerial Code.

At least with the Conservatives they eventually said enough was enough with May and Boris and forced them out. Labour MPs are more interested in staying in employment for the next three years than doing what is required, though I readily admit there is no one suitable to take over.

A no confidence vote should be called. He’ll win it, but we’ll have on record those MPs that choose to protect this lame duck rather than act in the national interest. Career suicide to back him, but they’ll do it anyway.

Jock your anti establishment stance does concern me, and given your services background, I am sure you are not wishing to bring down our country.
All this 'the centre is corrupt' stuff is the part of the Demoralisation phase of Yuri Bezmenov's '4 stages of state discreditation'.
Ironic really given that Russia and Putin are so corrupt.

I do recognise that all power corrupts.
My anti establishment....yes you're probably right, it just really gets on my goat that those elected by the people, to do a job for the people totally forget all that when they getting into the bubble that is the HoC....filling their pockets, not answering questions whilst reeling from one balls up to another.

However the corruption that upsets you is in every democracy, every communist state, actually every government/organisation at every level in some form.
Hindley British Legion and Labour Club come to mind.

Accept it as a feature of the human condition and trust the leadership that attempt to govern whilst minimising the corruption.

‘Trust the leadership’

Therein is the problem. Starmer is not a leader, he’s more an uncharismatic middle. manger. A clown running the circus. Completely out of his depth, and we are all paying the price. He promised to clean up politics and yet has lurched from one scandal and crisis to the next. He said the grown ups would be in charge. If this shower are grown ups, I’d rather we went back to the kids.

You and your selective reading

You and your not remembering what people have posted earlier

You and your blinkers

You and your conflation, the post was about corruption not mismanagement

They’ve been touting this story for weeks. Maybe they think third time will be a charm. They even conceded after the first ‘revelation’ Tice had neither avoided, or evaded tax. Indeed it was conceded he may have paid more than was required. The story is not hitting home, despite their best efforts.

The tax system is extremely complex, particularly at the levels at which Tice operates. The vast majority of people don’t understand things such as REITs and the ones that do are equally wealthy individuals who use this complex system to their advantage. It’s why they employ highly qualified and paid tax accountants. If HMRC thinks payments are not as they should be I’m sure they’ll investigate. They aren’t currently. The last time they did, after a politically motivated complaint, they had to give him a rebate!

What people do understand about tax are matters on the most simplistic level. They understand stamp duty because they have to pay it when they buy a house. So they recognise when a government minister is taking is taking the piss by ignoring instruction to seek specialist tax advice and choosing to deliberately underpay it to the substantial tune of £40 grand.

Popcorn ready for the funfair that will be the PM's address to the HoC tomorrow....can't wait to see whose next to be thrown under the Billy Smarts Circus Bus 🎪

Got it.

Rich people using expensive tax accountants to explore ways of avoiding tax - good
Those of us who don't - bad.

He’ll start off with some sombre comments about remembering Epsteins victims, completely ignoring the fact he appointed one of his best mates, against all advice, to the most important diplomatic position we have. Therefore giving no consideration to his victims when he did so

Then he’ll start with the blame game. He’ll say he accepts responsibility but none of it is his fault. His defence will effectively be that he’s incompetent rather than dishonest. As usual he’ll be reading a script carefully prepared by his lawyers so he doesn’t reveal the truth in attempt to gaslight everyone. He’ll digress onto the Iran war and start having a pop at the Tory’s and Reform and somehow try and pin it all on them. He’ll throw in a line about breakfast clubs and say he’s concentrating on the cost of living crisis, despite doing jack all to meaningfully address it. In response to any questions he’ll deflect, trying to hide behind a Police investigation, or trot out his usual it never crossed my desk and no one told me excuse. Finally he’ll scurry out at the earliest opportunity like a rat up a drainpipe.

As expected what a shocking performance from Starmer. As predicted he read from a careful prepared script from a lawyer. I’m not sure the scriptwriter expected howls of laughter when he claimed members of the house would find the facts unbelievable. Don’t think I’ve ever heard one man mention the word process so many times trying to hide behind it. Looked like a startled rabbit in the headlights.

It really fell apart for him when the questions started. Despite generously being given Kemi’s in advance he failed to answer them, shuffling back and forth through paperwork looking increasingly rattled and mumbling through his replies. Numerous MPs asked the same Case question but he repeatedly failed to answer it. Probably the first time I’ve agreed with Abbott but she nailed him and his increasingly stuttering responses satisfied no one, bar a handful of his nodding dogs on the backbenches. He’s a cockroach so I doubt they’ll remove him yet, but the end can’t be too far away. Overall a completely unedifying spectacle driven by a deceitful, dishonest, PM trying to gaslight the country.

It wasn't a great look....for the best part of 1 hr 20/30 mins he floundered and looked like a man lost. Flapping around with his papers trying to find answers made him look totally out of his depth. Didn't look like the leader of his party never mind the country. As u said...Diane Abbott made him look like a little boy being told off. The only reason that his party vultures aren't circling is due to the upcoming battering they're about to receive in the May elections.

I suspect they’ll let him carry the can for the election losses then moves will be made to get rid. He got little support and his back benches emptied quickly. I get the sense they’ve had enough. He just isn’t upto the job and bar the red rosette on a pig brigade the rest of the country knows it.

This evidence is pretty damning for Starmer, let alone on the Mandelson debacle. This Robbins chap is now claiming he was told to find an ambassadorial role for Matthew Doyle, who was then Starmers comms chief, who again is best mates with a convicted paedophile. What is it with Starmer and wanting to appoint and give plum jobs to these morally reprehensible people? Needs a full investigation, something stinks in his decision making.

“Trust in politics is now so low, so degraded, that nobody believes anyone can make a difference any more.

“After the sex scandals, the expenses scandals, the waste scandals, the contracts for friends – even in a crisis like the pandemic – people think we’re all just in it for ourselves.”

He will add: “To change Britain, we must change ourselves – we need to clean up politics. No more VIP fast lanes, no more kickbacks for colleagues, no more revolving doors between government and the companies they regulate.

The above quote from KS when coming into office.....Bullshit on top of bullshit with more bullshit to follow in the debate in the HoC later on

I suggest, the current government has not done any of the above - to their credit

However they have started a different chapter.

We need an anti establishment figure like Farage or Tice to really sort out the country. Although I wonder if they would allow us to exercise such free speech and criticism

Lying again ole ole, lying again ole ole
Lying again, lying again, lying again ole ole.

He’s not alone, but he’s full of shit. These parasites say anything to get in power, they don’t care about the aftermath or the consequences. Then they desperately cling on for dear life, telling more lies, destroying peoples careers to cover up their own incompetence. No fan of this Robbins bloke due to his ineffectiveness during Brexit negotiations so was expecting not to like him. However in fairness he came across extremely well and was all over his brief. Refused to throw any colleague under the bus which was quite commendable, although it doesn’t help with this cover up. He seemed quite upset and in the dark about why he was sacked. I suspect it was a knee jerk decision made in panic to try and protect the prick supposedly running the country.
