Thick as pigsh!t

There's also no independent evidence of a genocide in Gaza either...just the monsters of Hamas claiming it and only an idiot and the BBC would believe that scum.
The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel concluded in a September 2025 report that Israel has committed and continues to commit genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and found evidence of genocidal intent among top Israeli officials.

How do you know they are out there? Who has said this?
So you don't think it happened I take it ?... probably AI made up those hostages on the back of motorbikes or those emaciated buggers when they were finally released. Just state your position if you have the bollocks...I've made mine abundantly clear.

Hypocritical of you to berate the BBC for making stuff up but happy to believe in stuff you have no evidence for.

I never said utility companies were directly given money by the government. And where have I suggested that I hoped they went bust? I highlighted utilities since they were once publicly owned and still should be.

Where did all the money go that was given to furloughed workers? It was used by them to pay their mortgages, pay their utility bills and put food on the table which resulted in the indirect transfer of money from government to organisations such as banks, utilities, supermarkets and privatised parts of the NHS in addition to all their cronies who were allowed to make excessive profit from jumping on the PPE bandwagon much of which was found to be useless. We should be looking to recoup that money rather than increase the tax burden on ordinary working people.
Wealth inequality is increasing. More people are living in poverty than at any time this century and none of the main parties are addressing the issue.

We are in a mess. I’ve never suggested otherwise. Some of that mess is as a direct result of Farage’s Brexit. I’ve no idea who can get us out of this mess but one thing I am sure of is that Reform is not the answer.

You brought up the utility companies and their shareholders with the comment about billions given away. As I say you appear obsessed.

Yes the poor furlough scheme. Kept many people afloat during a pandemic which has added to government borrowing. Where do you think that money went to when people where using it to pay mortgages, for food etc? The companies providing those services or did you want them to do it for free with the cash going toward some magical money tree? Some of the ppe schemes were outrageous and I’m all for clawing that back if possible, though it’s unlikely.

You admit we’re in a mess, but don’t know who can get us out of it but are sure it’s not Reform? I’m certain it isn’t the current mob. Today at PMQs we have had the PM admit he’s lost control. The country deserves better.

Sorry Reuben, but you surely can't be serious here. "No independent evidence"? :arrghh:

I'm not sure who or what you'd consider as "independent", but as Israel won't allow international journalists into Gaza, news outlets like Sky, ITN, C4, Reuters and of course, the BBC (with journalists of the highest integrity, Yolande Knell, Orla Guerin, Jeremy Bowen, Lyse Doucet, Clive Myrie) have all reported on activities within the region - describing the genocide ... wilful, indiscriminate killing of everyone, women and children included ... with the aid of Palestinian - not Hamas - reporters.

If you can't accept that, then no problem ... conversation over.

Atrocities have been committed by both sides...but the conversation is probably better off over anyway.

Worthwhile noting for future reference ...

For anyone (understandably) questioning the background of the source ...

I've just googled it and it describes itself as a liberal publication that aligns to a left wing ideology.

You were doing so well too.

OK...you don't believe it happened. Fair enough, that's your position.
I believe atrocities were carried out by Hamas on October 7th. However, the claim that babies were deliberately burned alive and/or beheaded has never been independently verified. Should evidence to the contrary be presented I will change my position on the matter.

I literally posted a link to the "about" section on their website. I wasn't trying to hide their political leaning, but that shouldn't matter when it comes to reporting the truth. I'm sure the Times, Mail, Express, Observer and Spectator all say they post only the truth.

Peter Oborne (one of their writers) used to be the a politics reporter for the Mail, as well as political editor of both the Telegraph and the Spectator.

The story's either true, or it isn't.

They all claim to report the truth but will all put their slant on it.

I get the Sun as I like the crossword and sudoku in there.
