The Wesley Moræs Thread

Stan Collymore is saying that Wesley needs the advice and support of a specialist striker coach. I was with him on this until I read who he was suggesting......... Emule Heskey!!!

Now, I don't know whether Wesley owns a banjo yet, but if not he will need to buy one for the first coaching session with Emule where they visit the farm across the road from Bodymoor Heath and spend the morning attempting to hit the arses of the cows with said banjo.

For regular readers, I would imagine my position on £22million capture, Wesley, is pretty well known by now.

The thing is with this one Mike that the kid has took some stick, justified or otherwise but I absolultley guarantee that if on Friday, or in the next couple of games he pops up and sticks a couple in the back of the net he will instantly become a crowd favourite and all the doubters will be saying they new he would come good.
Its a massive change of everything for him and forwards are confidence players.
As for one of our old leaders of the line being drafted in, why not, if players knew it all you wouldnt need coaches. Give it a go, what harm can it do.

I would agree with the sentiment..... but Emule Heskey!!! ? ?
Sorry, but if we are going down that route, we may as well ask Harewood and Gabby to help him and get Djemba Djemba to coach the midfield :wagging::shake:

I bet Dwight Yorke wouldnt be throwing his hat in the ring for that one. If he's still interested in getting into coaching that would be the perfect type of introduction for him.
I'm not sure Big Wes needs it personally, he just needs to wake up and realise he won't get the same cheap free kicks here as he did in Europe.

Stan Collymore is a tit.
I'd take more notice of Mrs Melons opinion and believe me that bar is low.

And Collymore was crap with us apart from one goal in a game we lost.

Next .

I would have hoped that having spent £22m on a striker that he wouldn't need to be taught how to score goals.

Maybe start with not having the ball bounce two yards off you every other time it's played to you then move onto the scoring goals thing :)

I'm sure he'll do better and as others have suggested, I agree, it could all turn around for him very quickly indeed with an assist or a goal.

I can still see Collymore's very first kick of the ball for us at VP and the class showed even in just that first pass - his weakness was in his head, not his feet, that's for sure.

May be a small point, but let alone language/country/teammates adjustment.

Don't forget how football's themselves differ between our Prem/EFL and then foreign leagues. There are subtle differences that make a difference. The commercial market is in no way a comparison, but I remember back to being a kid where changing footballs even for a kick around left me frustrated.

Give him time dude.

And the Belgian league is crap.
