The Vital Villa Music Thread

Heretic - 2/6/2012 19:51

I haven't had the privilege of admission to the Vital Villa inner circle (which reminds me, I haven't seen Benham around - hope he's doing well).

Benham mentioned it in his 'Fear's Media Roadshow' thread - it tickled you so I thought I'd bring it up again.

He's ok, we are currently negotiating terms for a return ! lol

Amazing how the volume of music is important. Played a few of the led zep fairly loud this week, others lower whilst working. The lower volume plays made them sound whiney!

Love the Zep myself. Physical Graffiti was my first and it's still magnificent.

If you go onto Youtube, some folks have put up a video (or two) showing how the Zep lifted so much of their stuff and passed it off as their own (The Lemon Song is a virtual carbon copy).

Still love them.

Am I getting crotchety, or was it all much better when I were a lad?

Just listening to How The West Was Won.. 3cd live, great stuff.

Before that, Robert Plant hits (Sixty Six To Timbukto)

Just said in what are you reading thread I've just finished the Mick Wall zepp biog. Very interesting and yes they go into some of the copies as well! lol

Personally think a good % of it was better years ago Heretic, maybe we are just getting old mate!

yes, proper music! lol Was on New Street once (must have been about 13) when they pulled up in their tour bus and got out.

They said hello

But to be fair, as the years have gone by, it was less a hello and more a 3 page Q style interview... I might have slightly exaggerated! lol

Motley Crew red and white crew (hits) some ok songs on it, some average!

Madonna Erotica

Madness.. One Step Beyond... ace!

Muse Black Holes and Revelations
