The Tenure of The Lewis Family - September 2025 - ?????

Has anyone read the piece from Skysports?

Feels like it comes from the board.

As the first team increasingly underperformed in relation to increased revenue in recent seasons, and as fan protests intensified against their ownership and now former chairman Daniel Levy, the Lewises took an ever-keener eye on the management of the club.

Increasingly they did not like what they found, and it was ultimately decided that Levy should leave in September last year, just a few games into the season and days after a troubled transfer window in which they missed out on top targets like Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze.

I know who gave that briefing to the journo, and it doesn't surprise me in the slightest, if we go down the ownership/board needs to be able to deflect responsibility to everyone but themselves; much of it is true, but pleading ignorance of what they constrained management to doing is a policy issue and the ownership did that.

But fair play. Levy needs a good whipping as for too long he defended the policies and the ownership.

They can try to deflect but it's too late.

However, if we stay up and Venkatesham and de Zerbi are a good fit with each other we may now be in better shape than ever. Just need that key DoF appointment to happen.

Until tomorrow evening there isn't much sense in guessing the way forward.

Reports claim that Sebastian Kehl has agreed to join us as Director of Football, working alongside Lange. Subject to us not getting relegated.

I don’t know why we haven’t been treated to the truth from Lange .

Everyone and their dog read between the lines of his winter statement .

We cannot keep on having yes men in such important areas .

If it’s time to stand up and be counted , when it’s too late will be of no use to anyone .

Lying to the fans , or not telling the truth , is not a good idea .

I’m sure he is not the man for the job .

How much of what was written do you think is true?

There is no evidence that Lange is much good at anything when you are wanting best in class.
He has found his level fighting relegation.
If we keep him we won't improve.

Getting the DoF is the priority. Lange, like many of the players, is hard to gauge when our coaches were sooooo bad until de Zerbi. But I will not expend any energy defending him.

Venkatesham needs to be kicked out of the club by 20:00 today. He’s absolutely shocking & the fact he’s taken no ownership of any of the issues we’ve experienced, shows he has zero integrity.

Can we move on from the Lewis’s have to go. The chance of that happening when the asset value is as low as it will be is not going to happen.

We need a recap. So we may get an additional investor but even that’s unlikely at current values.
