The Stadium!

Think that is the skywalk Tel , where you can go for a walk in the sky above the north stand along the gantry . There are no seats so you will have to stand ,although there will be a bar up there , not a metal bar ,unless you are considering the metal bars in the gantry . It's a bar for the public, although it won't be a public bar, mainly private , cos it will cost a fortune to get in there .
I think between us we have cleared that up nicely :wahey: we need SpursEagle to post a video of it all . Where is he when we need him most ?

Multiplex were the second bidder for the stadium build and put forward a completion date of Dec 2018. They lost out to Mace who aren't going to complete until Dec but predicted July !!

Looking at the seating situation, the lower parts of the stands are only 40% populated with seats, which is a lot left to do. If it’s just a case of bolting them on which is not a specialist job, hiring in extra workers to do that is no problem. It could be done quite quickly, I imagine, presuming they have all the seats available.

If the upper stadium work, such as the aforementioned, upper gantry finishing, is completed, we can maybe clear the pitch and GET ON WITH INSTALLING THE GRASS, yes I’m shouting again. Come on lads, even a labour government could get it done by now. Ok I exaggerated.

What has the electrics got to do with seat installation ?
Nothing! However paying overtime and weekend rates to get them done is no longer necessary, I would also imagine that a lot of contractors that have been working 24-7 have been told to take a holiday.
The big challenge now will be re-motivating contractors to finish their works and complete snagging, especially if they have scheduled other works.
Someone mentioned liability falling on Mace, I'm not sure that will be the case. My understanding is they are management contractor not main contractor, I also understand that all contracts are directly with THFC.

That's something I made a reference to in an earlier post.

Since the delays were confirmed, the work seems to have reverted to 'normal pace', i.e., less urgency on the finishing touches. I did comment that the pitch will probably require at least 2 weeks to take root and seeing that they are still working on over-ground heating/irrigation gantries, at the current pace, the pitch will not have been ready for the Pool game. The same applies to seating. In a way the more controlled pace may allow less mistakes to occur and we may finally meet the revised deadline. IMO, though, I'd be very surprised if we see any games at HOME this calendar year.

It certainly seems that the Pool game was an expectation too far . The lighting / grow gantry's have only just been fitted and surely they would have been needed to get the grass established

My point was a little tongue in cheek. We were told the delay was down to electrical safety . My cynical mind thinks that was bollox and the whole thing is behind schedule.

That's brilliant news CS. Can't wait to see that . I said in a previous post that I had seen the original cockerel ,stood right next to it , put my hand on it ,which developed into a man hug .....ha ha.......priceless.
That article reports that the original cockerel was damaged by Paul Gascoine , I'm certain that is wrong , it was the FA Cup trophy he damaged ,sitting in his hospital bed , the evening after the Nottingham Forest cup final . It was taken there by the lads and he dropped it during the celebrations . .
The FA didn't take kindly to that , Tottenham were made to purchase a new one and the old damaged one is in the club museum . Apparently the lid will never, or wouldn't , fit on it . .
Hopefully Ex will be able to confirm all that cos it's a story that I've dined out on for years , that I've held the original FA cup . Or at least the one that was held by Danny Blanchflower and the boys back in the sixties ............depending on how old the 'PG' cup was . But I'm certain it was pre war
