An interesting article on Morgan Gibbs-White's set pieces - no paywall

I found this paragraph interesting:

"Forest have only had one direct attempt on goal all season from a free kick, against Manchester City on September 23, when Gibbs-White drove a shot into their defensive wall. That might seem a low number but, in a modern era where teams are coached not to give away fouls around the edge of the box, it is actually not unusual."

Surely that should read, "in a modern era where teams who are not Nottingham Forest are coached not to give fouls away around the edge of the box....."

Also, "Watching Gibbs-White’s set-piece deliveries, there are not too many occasions where they are wasted balls — he fails to beat the first man or the keeper has an easy claim."

Are they sure they've watched ALL of his deliveries?

What do think is an appropriate punishment?

Should he be made to watch 10hrs of ward prowse on repeat?

Awoniyi pulls out the Nigerian squad with a groin injury… sadly he’s an absolute sick note.
Unfortunately that seems to be the case. Wood is good at what he does but is a back up and Origi either hasn’t found his feet or isn’t the player some thought he was.

I can’t see us landing a new striker in January but we need to bring in a quality forward in the summer.

We're at risk of relegation without a mobile striker as backup to Awoniyi.

I've already pointed out that we win something like 1 in 2.5 when Awoniyi starts and something like 1 in 8 when Wood starts.

1 in 2.5 is pushing for Europe.

1 in 8 is relegation.

In addition to upgrading the back ups when possible, i would like to see us take a punt on at least one rookie striker- let's see another south American gem but a striker this time.

I know it’s cheeky Pope, but if you had time to do one of your analysis things on Camara at Olympiacos it would be interesting to see?

He looks great for us, and sending santos back and shipping out Kouyate (winter or summer) would be perfect in our squad to add depth and/or start

Don't forget Boly chap. The useless piece of shit

Must admit I do rate Solanke at Bournemouth. In the right team I think he would be a nightmare to play against.
