The squad thread

I presume the one at Caythorpe. The only other one I know if it's still there is the one at Carlton Square and that would just be bizarre.
That's what I heard (unless I misremembered the name...I'm getting on a bit, you know!) I presumed Carlton Square.

BTW, after shopping at Carlton Square Tesco I noticed that someone (Gedling Borough Council I presume) had put in a couple of benches and a litter bin. With a great view of...the traffic lights near Carlton Square Tesco!

Maybe that's what sent him over the edge...

To be honest the view of the traffic lights near Carlton Square Tesco is probably the most aesthetically pleasing view around there, so they definitely put the benches in the right place.

That's a very well used bench to be fair.

I seriously doubt it's the Old volo in Carlton. Just can't see why he would be there. Carlton is not at all the sort of place they put players up in, certainly not ones on £65k-80k a week

Not really sure what he was doing there, but I almost knocked BC's pint out of his hand in The Punchbowl on Porchester Road once, but maybe you'd classify that as Mapperley.

Carlton Square.... Only place I ever genuinely felt needs an announcement "Please set your watch to 1972" as you enter. The bird sh*t modern art piece they have towards the back exit is rather fetching too.

Is that Kwiksave still there?

Christ - the state of some of the people you would see in there back in the day!

How can you call an area that includes ,literally a stones throw away, Walton Crescent (incubator Avenue).........lol

It will be Caythorpe. It’s very nice. The outside is reminiscent to Malaga/Ibiza, and the Sunday dinner is expensive but superb.

Been there a couple of times as a teenager as had some mates from round those parts.

Seem to remember it used to flood around there a lot, which is the only similarity I could discern to Ibiza or Malaga in that it's next to a fuck load of water.

It closed down for years, but they’ve done it up really well.

Santos likely to depart in Jan - no huge surprise
Also Felipe to Oly. We should also be looking to sell Mckenna and offload Kouyate

That’s 4 out at least. Horvarth would be 5, maybe Taveres?
Nino in. Need a winger and links resurfacing on that Peruvian guy, Quispe who’s a number 10. Would love EM to send us Camara from Oly to replace the Kouyate and Santos exits

The problem is if you lose both Kouyate and Santos, you’re suddenly without any depth in midfield if we pick up any injuries.

Same with defence really - Murillo has just done his hamstring. If we lose Felipe and McKenna then you’re left with Worrall, Boly, Niakhate and Omabamidele. Two of them are made of glass and ones an unknown quantity. Totally agree that you have to shift players on and that we’re definitely overstocked in defence, but you just know with Forest how quickly things seem to change on the injury front.

McKenna will go on January. No way will he sign a new deal, he is out of contract end of season. We will get a little something for him and he will want game time ahead of the euros.

Felipe, if he gets himself fit (is it knee injury atm) then why would we want rid. For how good boly has been this season Felipe was everything and more last season.

Hence why the above exit scenario is dependant on Nino coming in, and having another CDM arriving. The CB scenario will happen I think. The CDM one is just my wish, but getting rid of a pointless loan and a useless player, while bringing in someone who can add to our squad (Camara for example merely because he looks great, and is part of our alliance)
