The Squad for this season

Presumably we can still sell or loan Tishbola to a European side? Surely someone must want him.

Just noticed that Hutton, Whelan and Jedinak are still without a club.

Crazy. if you were a mid-table championship side hoping to sneak into the playoffs and went out and brought in Cafu and Whelo you'd definitely improve your chances.

Why is nobody snapping them up? Both great pro's. Both still more than capable of playing at that level. bizzare.

Maybe their wage demands are too high and nobody wants to upset the Boro chairman by paying them

Yes. I would have thought Whelan and Hutton especially would have no problem finding somewhere.

Like Southend Villan said maybe wages are a problem.

No Gabby, no McCormack, no Richards... those were the days, eh :fish:

Our keeper list is a bit cramped, but no harm I suppose. Apart from questions over Kalinic and Nyland that's a good squad.

I don't know what happened with Kalinic as on European deadline day there were supposed to be 3 clubs after him.

Aston Villa have resubmitted its updated 25-man squad for the remainder of the Premier League season. Dean Smith has withdrawn Wesley and Tom Heaton with the pair not available until the start of the 2020/21 campaign due to respective knee ligament injuries.

Current third-choice keeper Matija Sarkic hasn't been listed by Villa despite now travelling for match-days home and away. The 22-year-old's deal expires in June, with Smith instead keeping Jed Steer amongst his new squad list despite the 27-year-old's Achilles injury. Steer is, though, expected to be back in action next month after suffering a setback against Wolves in November.
