The Snoddy Appreciation Thread

Vital Football Legend
The more I see of Snoddy, the more I like him.

He cut Burton in half with his ball to Albert for the first goal. It was a peach.

Express your manlove for Snoddy here.

The Sheffield Utd moment will live with me for a long time.

For that I will be eternally grateful to him.

I honestly think 82% of people who post on vital are complete morons after the Player of the Month vote for January. How this guy didn't win by a landslide is beyond me.

Jack was good, so was Johnstone, but Snoddy was the difference!

Hope we can keep him next season. WHEN we go up it will be vital to have players with Premiership experience but also players who are already settled.

I don’t pay too much attention to stats (especially the ludicrous ones such as possession %) but I heard the commentator on Saturday mention that he’s been “involved” (goals and assists) with something like six straight game winners in the last few months. Off the top of my head, he scored at Sheffield and Boro and has laid quite a few on a plate recently.
Say what you want about his “style” but he’s damn effective!

Great player , very. Good at getting his body shielding between the ball and the opponent , which invariably draws a free kick or he is able to slide away from them .
I think he's enjoying his football again after his West Ham ordeal

The ball is like a magnet to him. The incisive quick crosses scare the vampires.

He took a lot of unfair critisism on here earlier in the season, and like one or two others he just needed time to adjust.
Football is not like other jobs, where you turn up and do whatever it is you get paid for. You cant just lace your boots and go out and do it, and I think its fair to say that the team as a unit has taken time to gel but we now have had a settled nucleus of a side for a few weeks now and the results are starting to come.
Lets just hope we can avoid the injuries that have plagued us all season and keep our key players fit, one of whom is Snoddy.

I love his tenacity. He's like a Jack Russell on the pitch chasing around everywhere and barking at everyone. He even had a go at Bruce for taking him off early a while ago. :27:

If you didn't love the Snodster before, you will now.

Basically, Snoddy wants to stay whether we get promoted or not. He also has the most assists in the division. :31:

Great player at this level, has done so well for us and deserves all the praise he gets. Can definitely help us get promoted. However, if we want to compete in the PL I think we need even more quality and pace than himself and Adomah have. I know this sounds a bit harsh given the importance of the two - I would definitely keep them both if possible, regardless of the division we're in next season. Just sayin we probably need more competition - and more pace - if we're in the PL.

This isn't a told you so post. But even when he wasnt hitting the standard he is currently setting i was saying that Snodgrass is decent. Before xmas the quality was not always there but he was always putting in a shift, never shirking and was actually always an outlet from a johnstone clearance as he is good in the air. Needed a bit of time to settle and now really proving his worth.

I'm in the same boat as you Melon. It was pretty obvious Snoddy was better than what we already had (Jack was out injured). Ok, he didn't hit the ground running as he hadn't played many matches, but once he got up to speed, his quality became obvious.

Sign him up.
