The Sanchez Dilemma – Blue or Red? Integrity or Avarice?

What Custis was saying about City and paying OTT money, was quite right, but in those years we were playing catch-up and no-one has mentioned that.

However rumours abound on UEFA changing the FFP goalposts again.

The 3rd guy tried to but was (predictably) talked over/interrupted by Custis - exactly the sort of pub bore attitude that I was referring to earlier - never allow an opposing view to be expressed completely; never let the other person finish a sentence before interrupting and above all never concede that your interlocutor may actually have a valid point.

Outstanding news that they are planning FFP 2.0 The Sequel - talk about a cartel trying to rig the game

I've just finished reading that, Buzz - it echoes my thoughts on the matter 100%.
Yep, 100% about right from the Cutter article, we snubbed Sanchez, who broke his word.

Excellent article Buzz, Thanks for posting. :026:

Good to see Martin Keown sticking to his guns and calling Sanchez out.

http://www.caughtoffside.com/2018/01/26/alexis-sanchez-blasted-again-as-bbc-pundit-doubles-down-on-mercenary-dig/

Utterly sickened by the sycophancy of the BBC this morning as they banged on about Sanchez’s ‘MotM performance’ last night, how he set up (? Did he? I didn’t watch) 2 goals and was subbed mins.......... :024: on and on and on they waxed on the radio 5 live sports bulletins.

Of course he was the BBC Man of the match, inevitable as they were televising the game - bound to happen. I should have put money on it :013:

Meanwhile this was conveniently buried deep down the page.

"Alexis Sanchez: Manchester United forward will have to explain to anti-doping testers"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42830532

Can't have this news spoiling the narrative now can we.

Had this been a City player it would have be emblazoned across the top of the page with bells and whistles just as the time last season when a scheduling change resulted in an anti-doping visit being missed. Then the BBC went LARGE on the issue. Because it is the Golden Boy they have minimised the matter and played it down.

Well I think this Sanchez thing has really gotten under Gary’s skin. He just can’t let it drop can he? Even wakes up on a Sunday morning thinking and tweeting about it ffs.

“Morning. On the Sanchez deal “ people “should know that the wages are not important . It’s the cost of the overall package . All clubs will depreciate a player over the course of his contract against the total of fee and wage. The fee is low relatively so it works out a good deal”
6:58 AM - Jan 16, 2018

And.....

“60m fee last summer from City and 290k a week over 4 years = circa 120m

Depreciate 30m a year

Now to United / Chelsea 35m fee 5m to agent plus 350k wages 3.5 years = circa 105m

Depreciate 30m a year

Why is it too expensive now for City when it wasn’t 5 months ago?”
7:09 AM - Jan 16, 2018

Why, methinks the ex rag is a tad bitter to be getting his knickers in a twist still
:065: :101: :033:

....ending up with this......

“If City sign Laporte they will have spent 100m more than anyone won’t they ? Im not sure why City are peddling this stuff... ”

09.07 am Jan 28 2018

He just doesn’t get it does he?

I see The Orange has been found guilty of tax fraud and given a suspended jail sentence....

Apparently not dissimilar to Messi whose sentence was 21 months as opposed to Sanchez's 16 months.
