The Premier League 2025-26 Thread

Yeah i mentioned Makama a couple of weeks ago , looks a handful , Nottingham lad too.

He was at our academy from age 7 ish til he was 11 or 12 ish (signed age 8) so would be classed as a home grown player Im sure if we ever signed him. So definitely worth monitoring.

Saw him play a lot

Was a real greedy sod when he was a kid. Lol. Played for himself not the team.

Many many years ago on here someone once posted (not me) theres a new superkid in the academy called Jovan or Jovon. (His name is actually Jovon)

He would have been aged about 8 or 9 ish back then. I remember reading it on here. Hadnt seen him play at the time.

So Vital Forest really is first with potential player news!! Lol

And then I watched him play a fair bit soon after. He literally just got the ball and tried to beat every player on the pitch. Like in the old Messi videos when he was a kid. No doubt based on parents instructions. Rather than coach instructions.

But hes made the grade in the end despite setbacks on the way - so who can actually argue with that approach long term.

Released by us age 11 or 12 ish. Went to Derby from us then onto Lincoln City academy aged 16 ish when released by Derby. I saw him being equally greedy at Derby early on! Lol. Dont know if they knocked it out of him or not.

Fair play to him having the resilience to make a serious career as a pro after being let go from both us and Derby when a youngster

Norwich paid £1.2m to Lincoln for him in August. Club record fee for Lincoln

Only 9 goals in 79 games for Lincoln. Think he was mainly used as a right winger with them.

Had a good streak of goals for Norwich after a slowish start.

10 goals in 28 games for Norwich this season.

Hes aged 22 now. 6 foot 5 inch apparently now which would explain the move to striker.

Edit just read hes broken a bone in his foot and likely out til the end of the season

Well he’s available if we sack Dyche and then the Spurs Forest merry go round can continue!

I think we could do worse in the summer, but I'd be very hesitant to try and bring Frank in immediately. He's looked a broken man, and he'll be battered and bruised from his Spurs stint.

I don't see a new manager suddenly turning Spurs around, but sadly it won't take too much of a new manager bounce to lift them to safety either. If the new guy comes in and wins even 2 or 3 of his opening games that's probably enough of a cushion for them to scramble clear.

Form table over past 10 games, Leeds would be 10th, Forest 14th WHU 15th. The teams struggling with form, in addition to Wolves and Burnley, are Palace, Spurs and Brighton. Brighton looked awful at weekend. Long may it continue as we have to play four of those five. Dyche has done better than many suggest. The nerves are on edge because Leeds and WHU are doing so well. We have closed the gap on those above us. Three tonight would aid the cause significantly.

Win tonight and we feel a whole lot better

And West Ham, Spurs and Brighton feel a whole lot worse

Every result is magnified so much nowadays

De Zerbi has left Marseille by agreement. Spurs?
you would think so, looks like the reason they have dropped frank. Otherwise it would be crazy to drop him with no one decent to replace him unless they were going down the Carrick type route so Ryan Mason etc.. that would be a bit risky given their position though.

Thing that worries me right now though is that from our 12 remaining matches, we only have three games left against teams in the bottom 6 and 5 to come against teams in the top 6. If we get nothing out of those three games aginst Wolves, Spurs and Burnley I think we're fucked.

21st/22nd of Feb looks like it could be a tough weekend for all of the bottom 6

18th April is opportunities all round based on current bottom 7

Lets hope it's all sewn up in our favour before the last day

Table getting interesting, even though we haven't got the points we wanted recently.

Spurs, Leeds, Palace, Brighton all within reach. Just need another new manager bounce...or two...or three...
