Not to be confused with the similarly named Premier League 2024-25 thread.

Incredibly we go for a FOURTH consecutive season in the top flight- our longest stint ever in the Premier League era. I certainly didn't imagine such a run when I was stood at Wembley, telling myself that I didn't care if we were relegated.

Anyway, to kick off- Cunha to Man Utd done, and it's hard to imagine a club and player better aligned in shocking attitude

Rashford available for £40m (+£12-15m a year) to anyone stupid enough to waste it on him

Interesting signing for Brentford

And Wirtz off to Liverpool probably makes MGW the main target for Man City

Rashford is a bit like a modern day Stan Collymore, like stan he has the capacity to win games on his own, he has every attribute required to be world class, talent, control, pace, physical strength etc. but is flawed somehow which seems to make it difficult for him to fit in anywhere, such a waste & such a shame

He’s nowhere near as good as Collymore. He has half the skill and strength of big Stanley V

The Stan who played for Villa and Leicester, maybe

And he's black.

I agree he's nowhere near as good as SVC, who was one of my all time heroes & arguably the best player I've seen at Forest if it wasn't for the character flaws there is no reason why he couldn't have gone on to be world class. There are however similarities which Rashford has, his pace, his power etc., but he can't finish like Stan could.
The main similarity is what appears to be the flaw in their make up that doesn't allow them to get the most from their talents on a long term basis & fit in to a team environment for any length of time, not to mention their dislike for turning up at training when they should

Sorry but Rashford hasn’t got anywhere near the ability that Stan had. He is a head down and run player who is quick and that’s about it.

Murillo and aina were both in the top 5 prem players who spent the most time walking last season during a game

If the instructions are we play a back four and is the opposite full back is attacking you hold. He would often be part of a back three. When Yates plays he has a licence to get forward as Ryan provides cover but towards end of season, after hamstring and without cover Aina rarely went past penalty area. Instructions, confidence and energy.

But those stats are from the whole season?

The thing with Aina is he does a single eye catching run forward then needs 10 mins to recover

Meanwhile you've got Williams on the opposite flank who seems non-stop energy wise to me
Yes. If he didn't switch off against Leicester we could be in the Champions league.
