imo it just kicks the can further down the road. nothing fundamentally has changed.
all eyes on the apt case.

If Villa are in need to sell this year, surely they are pushing for it now, not next year?So it all comes down to what year Villa want it changing from and whether the other 14 clubs want to help or hinder their rivals. The prospect of bargains Vs their own longer term benefit.
Good point. They are clearly close to breaching by June 30th then, so surely their proposal would be looking for approval this year?If Villa are in need to sell this year, surely they are pushing for it now, not next year?
I thought the whole reason for the Villa proposal was that they are in the champions league and need to strengthen NOW, not next year or year after?
Yep. Villa will want it in so it can affect the accounts up to the end of this month. Whether other teams will agree to that is a different matter. So it all comes down to what year Villa want it changing from and whether the other 14 clubs want to help or hinder their rivals. Which is interesting, because it would be retrospective.Good point. They are clearly close to breaching by June 30th then, so surely their proposal would be looking for approval this year?
Why would this be rejected by so many? It creates a fairer playing field..Doesn't matter now- rejected. Bye Murillo
I'm guessing a few other clubs have hotels and training grounds to sell themselves
does seem weird that though? surely we would have voted for it, Villa would and Everton at least? surely a few others would want it too?Doesn't matter now- rejected. Bye Murillo

That means at least two Clubs who are facing the threat of having to sell players before the Months end have either voted against or absteined.Doesn't matter now- rejected. Bye Murillo

we haven't seen the fine print.does seem weird that though? surely we would have voted for it, Villa would and Everton at least? surely a few others would want it too?
There is a tweet in the John Percy link from someone who suggests the requested increase only be for clubs in Europe. Not sure if that is true but if so it would explain the voting.we haven't seen the fine print.
That would make more sense. Why they didn’t have a vote for moving the cut off point to the end of August rather than the 30th June I don’t know. That would have made the system a bit fairerThere is a tweet in the John Percy link from someone who suggests the requested increase only be for clubs in Europe. That was Crystal Palace's separate suggestion to be voted onThere is a tweet in the John Percy link from someone who suggests the requested increase only be for clubs in Europe. Not sure if that is true but if so it would explain the voting.
WTF are Palace interested in the Europe discussion for? They are nowhere near it, and will be further away from it next year once Olise, Guehi and Eze are sold. Plus one of their keepers and maybe even WhartonThat was Crystal Palace's separate suggestion to be voted on
