Pathetic turnout - circa 20% I saw earlier.

But over 300k for Labour, just over 150k for Reform.

Yeah I forgot how many people lived in Manchester 🤣 DOH at me so it really wasn't as close as it sounded when I first heard it had gone to a second round and breathes

That being the case why isn't everyone arriving illegally in a boat to the UK sent packing.
I think the Ceuta case has a lot to do with a dispute Spain have with Morocco. The have let this happen in what basically amounts to a terrorist attack.

The EU should be hammering Morocco now.

A bit like the general election that sees the country now the subject of a coup with Burnham putting forward un costed policy and still refusing too answer questions from the media.
Huge disconnect between politicians and people in this country.

I've seen plenty of videos of the "invasion" and it's all men with no personal belongings who are being bussed to the border and ushered off by what look like either police or soldiers.

This is soon after Spain have signed some sort or deal with Algeria that Morroco doesn't like and have repeatedly criticised the US and Israel who Morroco is closely allied to.

It's the most obvious set up job in history and it's doing exactly what it was meant to.

There's certainly a question as to what the other side of the main gate were doing as I'd guess the two beaches (in effect) would be covered, but that would go for both.

Seems Morocco did very little, whilst Spain have seemingly encouraged it just so they can play the 'woe is me' game. I can't help but feel the 'under attack' bleating suits the current spat with the States, but I'm not seeing Morocco as a major player here.

But again given the online organisation 'for shits and giggles' (ignoring the typical twatbook bollocks) it's not much of a stretch to say 'intelligence' was ignored.

I can't remember the Makerfield or Gorton and Denton turnouts, but I'm sure both were noticeably up. I think we've now tapped about 25%.

So we are back to voter burnout, apathy, Mayoral level full stop as that doesn't really get anyone's juices flowing.

But as for coup, general elections average around the 70% mark for the last 40 years.

And whilst there is a disconnect it's a bit trite to say the country is 'now' subject to - how many Tory leaders with un-costed policies?

Boris hid in a fridge, Burnham is on the back of doing interviews with the biggest broadcaster in the country - not least all the Makerfield interviews - and whilst optically utterly pathetic, the time to moan about a single un-costed policy is after the budget.

Or it's too easy to ask why the Tories still haven't costed the Post Scandal properly, or infected blood - surely now they have more time (having had multiple budgets for details) Kemi can ask for a document to clue her in?

If people really want a giggle, check out some of the HENRY forums.

Uber rich to blame for having too much unearned wealth.
Pensioners and those on benefits to blame for rising taxes so they can't create more unearned wealth themselves.
Lowest earners should pay more tax because they are sitting on savings they won't spend.
Those pesky disabled chancers with better cars 'than wot I can afford on £250,000 a year' should have benefits taxed and at least do data entry jobs or something.

I thought they were supposed to be intelligent?

Problem with Burnham will be if he implements the left wing stuff he's talking about this side of an election, because non of it was in a manifesto.
Yes he's giving interviews, talking.a lot but saying nothing.
The coup part comes in with a totally different set of possible policies and a complete clear out of the cabinet in order too promote people who should be nowhere near government.
Re Tory leader, yes culpable just the same. If you want to change the leader other than for a death or serious illness there should be a general election.
Total stich up to put Burnham in place.
He wasn't even a bloody MP.

The extreme stuff yes, I'm with your there but the sounds so far I'm in the 'needed' camp - I just don't know who quickly they would take effect or whether they go far enough (for me).

So far the extreme stuff is media guff that gets recycled as it suits, and started before he'd even resigned as Mayor - it's fear bollocks mostly, not least it wouldn't work.

The rest is all party thrown and we still elect parties, even though it's more PR'ed now as personality for the greater twatter generation. It's the system like or not and it won't change, much as I'd prefer it did.

And again manifestos aren't binding, things change, they all play the 'won't get elected don't say it game' but generically we know what parties stand for. We never get what we want and we never could, and even the new Labour wave of Bliar didn't entirely move away from the typical party membership wants.

Sometimes it's just life and it helps me stay calmer lol

Mahmood is doing a good job. We need to strike the right balance and optimise immigration so it supports the country's economic needs. Right now, the system is too generous in some areas while not doing enough to prioritise those who can make the greatest economic contribution.

In the short term, this may require an over correction in overall numbers to reset the system and put the right long-term policy and strategy in place.

The country should take what it needs for its economic well-being, not everyone that wants too come.

Yep, no use l letting doctors, dentists, scientists, engineers leave, and replacing them with a bloke who delivers Uber Eats for McDonald's on the black economy, working illegally.
That's not going to get us very far at all.

Quite a day, immigration figures have fallen again as we know - both those we need as the Tories shat themselves, and that tiny 0.003% of boaty people Farridge is obsessed with.

No wonder he again fucked his own excuses - he must be so confused. No wonder he was rightly so angry about the press apparently leaking where his daughter lived, having known about it from the very photo Farridge posed for in front of the house, with the car number plate showing 12 odd months earlier when he tweeted the fucker himself.

And latest round of polling show most are bored of his bollocks and immigration has now fallen as a concern.

It's not like the manifesto delivery was riding high on a wave of popularity is it?

Changing tack mid-term is not and has never been a "coup". They usually involve tanks.
