The Philippe Coutinho Thread

The name yes but his form will not be missed, the club will save around 5 million in wages, that's it. Nothing to see here.

Hopefully he will do well in a less competitive league than the full on EPL. His wages are off the books and yet, if he does well, his AV connection would be good PR; he might even end up as having some value.

Shame it didn't work out as for a little bit at the start there he truly looked like he could be something special for us. Alas his body isn't up to the rigors of top European football anymore.

Just seemed to lose his physicality over night. He was a big boost over that winter when he first signed, lifted the club and scored against United off the bench. He was excellent technically, good against bigger players, sharp and nimble with opposition players doubling up on him. His constant powder puff shooting was a bit frustrating, which was even more frustrating when the previous points were lost from his game at this level.

Whilst it has been disappointing overall, I’d say he was a useful PR stunt to put on the footballing map.

Shame the club couldn’t get a Saudi club to buy him for big money. Was great initially, gosh there was even a half decent song thought up for him which is rare from our fans, remembering enjoying that one at Everton away. Think he was worth a punt still based off the initial loan, it seemed like the old coutinho was still there, some transfers work out and some don’t, fortunately it didn’t cost a silly amount to find out.

Think it was a typical case of a club buying a player that was finished but pushed through by his mate. I hope them days are over here tbh. Think we have seen enough of those not good enough to do the job taking the piss out of us.
