At least 1890 minutes (over 31 hours) of it !

Problem is that it is often the same posters claiming we were lucky then that will not then accept we are unlucky with injuries now, or that they are a contributing factor, Albarus being the latest example.

No idea how ITK the person who posted it is, but the source is mentioned as a mate of Maclorg's brother. It may well turn out to be true, but for the moment may be best taken with a pinch of salt (of course, knowing our luck, it could turn out to be bollocks and that he's actually out for 6 months).

According to GA we were "superb" in the second half last night apart from a 10 minute spell at the end.

Well feck me sideways. Standards have fallen. We had a good 10 minute spell just after we scored.

Any manager comments should be taken with a massive pinch of salt.

He’s trying to instil some confidence in the players after a positive reaction to the halftime bollocking.

Are players really that stupid. Players know if they've played well individually and collectively or not. Does he honestly think because he tells them they've been superb, they have.

Saying we were superb is not giving them support when it clearly wasn't true.

Not convinced it's the players he's trying to convince we were "superb" tbh.

I’d prefer he says it like it is, but he won’t because that’s just who he is.

People more interested in the fact of the ball coming off of their ex scapegoat Hutton or to prove we were lucky.

hales goal was a great strikers goal. Total aggression and single mindedness to force the chance and execution. Top strikers do not wait until you have the perfect angle or clear shot or indeed take the easy route and go down.

I couldn't give a shiny shit what he did anywhere else, it's not relevant. I want him to do the business here. For 11 months he has not.
 
I find his bigging up of performances, “they really emptied the tank” etc quite irritating, but 12 months ago, when we were playing alright and top of the league, I commented how good it must be to play for him with the positive energy he brings. Martin Allen was a bit like that - loved his pressers when we won a lot during 2012/13. Wanted to strangle him during early 2013/14!

It’s early days for this season, at the start of which the slate was wiped clean for me, but he’s running out of time - it needs serious improvement bloody quickly.

In my time, I have seen four promotions (95/96, 99/00, 08/09 and 12/13). Two of which we started very well and maintained the position. Two we started quite poorly. So this early tells us nothing. I admit I’ve not seen much to get excited about, but 99/00 (under the overrated Taylor 🎣 😉) we didn’t win a league game until 4th September (the sixth game). Although the Blackpool farce was in the first five, which of course should have been a win!

The Wycombe thing is a pointless comparison, as the two clubs aren't comparable.

At Wycombe, he took a small club and turned them into a decent League One side by using the age-old 'underdogs' tag. And fine, that works when you're actually an underdog.

But there is no way, in this season or any other, than we are an 'underdog' in League Two. Have a 'us against the world' philosophy sure, but carrying on as if we're supposed to be grateful for points at Chesterfield and Fleetwood just doesn't wash with me. Actually it's more than that, I find it a little offensive. We as a fanbase know what we're looking at, GA telling us otherwise doesn't help anyone - but all it takes is for a couple of people to believe it and sooner or later it becomes the truth.

Of course, a couple more 17th placed finishes and we'd be grateful we weren't 6 or 7 places worse off. The lower the expectations, the easier it is to do the bare minimum and meet them. It's important that the club as a collective don't fall into the trap of diminishing what we should be, and from that point of view I'm glad GA wasn't happy with the first half last night because it was diabolical.

Yep. I liked Coleman when he was our manager. Roasted the team after that inept performance at Newport and rightly so. Didn't lose again that season iirc (yes I know GA took over). Coleman laid the foundations for our improvement.

I find his ott positivity and "emptying the tank" bs really irritating. Being positive when possible is obviously better than being negative but not when it's farcial.
 
There’s been a huge turnover of players this summer, around 10 are injured, several of whom would start if fit, and we’ve just signed 2 players from the leagues above who could make a positive difference.
It’s way too early to judge this season, and last season is irrelevant now, you have to give them time, as frustrating as that is.
