Me neither sirden.

Caught a lot of people by surprise.

Welcome Birkir bye bye persil shorts.

Welcome Birkir, allegedly nicknamed Thor by the Icelandic fans!! I understand that he can play centre or left midfield, or LW, and can nick a few goals. Sounds like a good addition!!

Birkir Bjarnason is delighted to have joined such a big club.

We've usually done quite well with Nordic players so let's hope that trend continues.

We've usually done quite well with Nordic players so let's hope that trend continues.

Nielsen, Mellberg, Laursen,.... Yep, not a bad pedigree.

Was worried in case it meant we wouldn't get Hourihane, but it appears that's still on. So, midfield from:
Jedi, Lansbury, Houlihane, Bjarnson, Tshibola, Adomah, Grealish, Green

Looks a bit crowded, but with 10 matches coming up in just over 5 weeks I'm sure Bruce will happy with things being that way around.

Never heard of him so I can't comment.

He has played internationally and in the champions league so you'd hope he's is a decent player, but I don't really know how the Swiss league compares to the Championship.

He could turn out to be very good or crap we'll just have to wait and see I suppose. We've signed a fair few turds from overseas in recent years trying to find "hidden gems" so unfortunately I am slightly sceptical, but I look forward to seeing him play and finding out nonetheless.

Never heard of him in my life before today. Best I can say is that Iceland team seemed to have a lot of guile about them so hopefully he can bring that to us.

Can't confess I know anything about him . Hope he's an improvement on what we have

The bearded bloke from ABBA would be an improvement on what we have got !!!!!

Not the first thoigh - Joey Gudjohnsson was the first.

I think you all change your minds when you see what he brings ..... and maybe if we do well and Swansea dont, then he can have a word with his mate Gylfi Sigurðsson about joining him.

I know Amavi isn't easily spealt , but this bloke is going to take mis-spelling off the scale . Good luck everyone
